It’s not suppose to take over the domestic league. Form my understanding you are still playing league every weekend and this will take place of champions leagueSo, when one of the non-ringfenced clubs falls out of the Super League why would their domestic league have them back?

We wouldn't be a big fish (I assume you meant fish, not dog) in a small pond though because the other teams will, I suspect, stay in the PL. if they didn't, our whole financial structure would be screwed anyway as the money for the PL would be a lot less without them.
Either become a 2nd tier club, or join the Super League. That was our choice. It seems that you would have gone with the first option but there was only one way we were going to go after all the investment in the club.
