Of course the two English side who pulled the plug first get hit hardest
Have they said which year the 5% will be based on? Once again we’re shafted despite being the last to join & first to pull out.

it should have been a fixed sum for all - not a percentage. It even a percentage of club turnover

ok i am confused now reading through this.

can someone do a pivot table to see the exact amounts/punishments lol.

to be honest I am laughing on this when imagine Liverpool and Arsenal owners looking at these numbers making them lose even more money when their chances of CL or EL is very slim next year so they already have a big minus in the account for next year.

but they can laugh up their sleeves cos City & Chelsea will be fined more because they’ve got to the final - if it’s based on this year

If we get fined more, it implies that we'll also be paid more too.
I'd be happy to pay the fine and get it over with

Utter joke if they attempt to fine City, or any of the teams. Stupid too.

I would expect City to go to court, whether alone or in a group litigation.

the clubs have accepted it. Fait accompli - City penalised more than other clubs yet again

UEFA may have agreed to increase prize money & it’s a case of ‘As you where’ it wouldn’t need to be a large percentage, let’s say 1-2% in 5 years you’d have the penalty back and some, a lot easier to sweep under the carpet when nobody is looking, Barca RM & Juve are heading for a 1-2 year suspension or very large fine

As noted, wasn't referring to UEFA but still a bit of a sick joke punishing teams.

Anyway, the UEFA fines look like a deal has been done and presume our owner can choose to pay the fine.

The withheld income penalty doesn't kick in until 2023-4 so it remains to be seen what that will cost us.

It's less than a third of what we'd get just for winning the CL. Probably half what we get for losing it. And that's just one game, with out adding in the rest of the prize money we'll get. We could be looking at pulling in £100m for winning the CL.

I didn’t know that. Just glad it’s not based on this year when the clubs that instigated the ESL aren’t even in the CL

Have you a link to this info?

so we’ll have to pay £5m? Rags would only have to pay around £1.5m?

Seems unfair to me but not surprised

What a load of Bollocks.
The big six are about to get a substantial fine from PL , to be announced soon ,besides the uefa punishment .
Can someone tell me why Gill hasn't been asked to step down from prem & uefa roles ,talk about double standards !

Given that a Glazer has said he will cover the fine and the 5% (as far as I can tell), it'll be fairly irrelevant - I expect City will get an owner input to cover it too.
