Their form was so bad beforehand.
They have beaten a relegated Norwich and had three home games on the bounce against Wolves, Leicester and Palace.
At the start of this month they lost 5-1 to Spuds and also lost to Everton.
The biggest hope must still be Liverpool are weary from a tough game on Wednesday.
If the Geordies get all giddy and open up, Liverpool will be happy.
We will have to win all our games to win the title.
Newcastle have won more points per game than any club other than Liverpool since the start of the year.
You can’t put performance over 15 odd games down to playing easy opponents.
a bruising, exhausting win where Leeds end the match with 9 men and some muscle strains. But a win to alleviate relegation pressures.A Leeds win tonight would be great for us.
Liverpool will not drop 1 point
Not sure it would make that much difference.A Leeds win tonight would be great for us.
They are in great form but we given Newcastle some absolute top spankings in recent years, especially at home. They have nothing to play for but pride and i can't see them putting in much effort tbh.Yes but Newcastle in great form

Yes agreed TH but Howe will want to win or at least put up a big effort as they are going to come to the top table sooner or later with their finances. This is a good test for them.Their form was so bad beforehand.

Hmm, i get what you're saying but let's all hope their minds are on being on a sunny beach. The Newcastle players literally play for their future: those who don't perform well will be sold in the summer. Also, Newcastle will want to show they are becoming a force. They'll be motivated to get a result.
The fixtures have fallen very kindly for us. We have 4 days to prepare for Leeds. Liverpool have 70 hours to prepare for what is a tougher game at Newcastle. Then we both have a similar time span to each other to prepare for the following home prem games of which theirs (v Spurs) is the tougher. I can see us being 3 to 5 points clear by the evening of Sunday May 8.I agree, think Liverpool will edge all their remaining games if they beat Newcastle, which is their biggest challenge because of the short turnaround this week.
We have seen a few times before with City how the 12.30pm kick-off after the Wednesday can make a draw seem like a good result in the end.
Personally. I believe our toughest games our are next two, either side of the Real games.
A major game for Leeds, all contrived to see us fail in the 5.30pm kick-off, followed by an in-form, counter-attacking Newcastle at our place, with nothing to lose.
Lets hope the officials do their job at Newcastle. The fixtures have fallen very kindly for us. We have 4 days to prepare for Leeds. I only played at Sunday league level, but always tried my best. They are in great form but we given Newcastle some absolute top spankings in recent years, especially at home. They have nothing to play for but pride and i can't see them putting in much effort tbh.
They won’t be on the beach against City or Liverpool. They’d get a huge kick out of beating either or both of us. They’re playing to stay at the club. And they know that if they take it easy against either of us they risk humiliationHmm, i get what you're saying but let's all hope their minds are on being on a sunny beach.
I agree with you but now they have mid table security they may not be as mentally focused and up for it as us or Liverpool. Let's up they're switched on against the scousers but not against us.They won’t be on the beach against City or Liverpool. They’d get a huge kick out of beating either or both of us. Can’t see Gerrard working hard to get his Villa side busting a gut in that one eitherDefinitely write off the Wolves game, Connor Coady will be playing!
