Wrong?

If you had read what I posted, it should have been clear that the targets I was referring to were the three we signed today, as it had been suggested earlier that we might not get them.

Yes, we lost out to Chelsea over Willian.

And we didn't sign David Villa either.

And there were probably quite a few more players we were after during the window who we didn't sign for one reason or another.

Your quote,

"Looking forward to spending transfer deadline day relaxing in the sunshine, drinking a gin & tonic, smoking a Havana cigar with my feet up knowing Spurs have got all the transfer targets we wanted."

You can't use the word all when you're only referring to 3 players, therefore you were once again wrong. Contrary to what you would have people believe, Spurs did not sign ALL of the intended transfer targets.
Well he has a history of lying.

Before accusing me of lying, you might want to check-out a discussion I was having a few days ago (now on the second part of the Spurs thread) with Matty, who is one of your moderators...

The three players we were talking about were Vlad Chiriches, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen.

Oh... And as things stand, Spurs have made a profit of £6,036,000 during the Summer 2013 transfer window.

Spurs drove the game. Plenty of power, but lacked a playmaker in the middle.

Spurs have not scored from open play in the Premiership and you can see why

Not gloating cos at the moment they are better than us. They look a team even if they lack guile

Are they fuck better than us.
Marvin thinks Garcia is a good player ffs.

Well done for making profit but you've spent 100 million on SHITE

From Wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gareth_Bale

...it appears I might have overestimated what Spurs paid for Bale by about half a million quid.

Oh well.

You paid £6m for him, and re-negotiated the add-ons with a lump sum of £3m, total £9m, still an astounding bit of business for your club.

Why you feel the need to massage figures is beyond me, or is it because everyone knows you lie anyway, so no need to try and hide it?

No, Spurs didn't pay £6m down for Gareth Bale.

It was £5m, as this BBC report at the time clearly states...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/t/tottenham_hotspur/6693839.stm

...I challenge to to give any reputable source which says Spurs paid £6m down.

Is Rupert Lowe reputable enough?

Well that remains to be seen, although I would certainly beg to differ.

-- Mon Sep 02, 2013 1:24 am --

I can't separate some of your signings, some of there attributes are just the same. Strong , athletic and little else. Soldado has played 3 games and offers very little aside from taking a penalty. But the real crime in spending 100 million is how Dawson, Rose and Townsend are starting. Liverpool look far superior to you and still have Suarez to come back , Arsenal if they add Ozil to there injured players to come back have a top 4 team. I just can't see Spurs, without Bale and these signings making the top 4 and that is criminal with the freedom AVB has had in the transfer market.

I don't need a link, I live down here and knew a couple of the playing staff at the time of the transfer, but never mind, you carry on quoting and believing the bullshit you spout, when it suits.

You paid £6m up front for Bale.

THFC what did you actually think of the game today? I've only read comments from you defending yourself but not really much of an opinion. I might have missed it. I suspect you're still optimistic, if disappointed, but what were your positives and criticisms?

So no link?

What a bloody surprise!

I can provide you with as many links as you want which clearly state that Spurs paid £5m up front for Bale.

And you accuse me of being a bullshit artist?

What a plonker you are.

Well done on the profit, you can join Arsenal on the annual "We won fuck all but made a profit open top bus tour"

Are you very upset that you were quite so wrong about Bale (not) leaving?
