I currently vehemently dislike Spurs.

I dislike them because of the way they act towards our club.
I dislike them because they like to throw around words like "classless" without a trace of irony.
I dislike them because they are the media darlings of the age; the new Manchester United, who have a bunch of good but not great players, hyped to be the next Maradona.
I dislike them because their manager is tactically clueless and bankrupts every club that he has been at.
I dislike them because they shout from the rooftops about "Arab money" when they are owned by their own billionaire and formerly owned by Alan Sugar.
I dislike them because they play poor football which is somehow touted as exciting and consists of twatting it down the wings.
I dislike them because their manager is the most bent bastard in the history of football, but gets away with it because he's never shy to take a journo out to lunch.
I dislike them because they somehow think that they are "above us" as both a club and a fanbase.
I dislike them because they like to refer to themselves by names that should not be spoken in modern society.

Apart from that, they're alright. I don't dislike them as much as the scousers, rags or geordies, but they come in a close fourth.

Instead of sitting on the fence like that, you should tell us how you really feel about Spurs.

He's been pretty reasonable tbf. I could have added a few to that list.

I'm sure you could!

And I wasn't objecting to his rant. City fans' forum, after all. You can say what you like about Spurs. I just didn't bother to add one of those winky, smiley things.

Deep down dislike Spurs because despite spending an obscene amount of money and playing great football. The praise and adulation the you so badly want from the media hasn’t arrived as the limelight has been taken by spurs..

I was being a little mischievous Jim. I do indeed dislike Spurs and most of that stems directly from 81, as ridiculous as that seems.

I still want you to finish above everyone else in the Prem apart from us though.

They should never EVER moan about our money - we're fuckin' sharing it with them to the tune of about £100k/week on Adebayor's wages. If it wasn't for that, they'd be 5-10 goals short of their present total, and would probably be below Arsenal.

TBF, we should differentiate between the keyboard warriors who infest the likes of 'glory-glory'. They are not representative of Spurs fans, in my experience. If people judged City fans by the nonsense that is spouted on the Matchday threads on BM, then we would certainly not come across very well.

They are not all bad on glory-glory. I have actually met one of the mods from the forum and gone to a couple of games with him (Fulham/City and a game I cannot remember at WHL). I spend a lot of time with Spurs fans and they are nowhere near as bad as the typical poster on glory-glory.

The online Spurs fans who appear to be the runts are those who are the out-of town supporters. Maybe they think by aiming bile at other clubs and opposition supporters it makes them feel that they are proving that they are 'real' Spurs fans, a kind of inferiority complex.

The thing that irritates me most about Spurs is that they do not serve beer to away fans at half-time, yet the home supporters can have a beer. Added to the fact that it's probably the worst away game in the country for having a pre-match and post-match beer.

It is slowly becoming the worst away day for me, certainly the worst in London.
