The true secret of Leicester City's success / doping thread merged

Think it's likely that they shit it when they thought they would be relegated last year, and in fear of losing the Sky mega money deal they employed a doping project and it has snow balled ever since.

Leicester winning the Premier league is the equivalent of a fat, 60 year old chain smoker winning a triathlon.

The sad thing is doping is so advanced now that unless someone leaks something it will likely never come to light. The Premier League will be keen to cover up any allegations.

Can't believe how everyone in the media is just putting it down to "hard work" and "commitment". Typical English ignorance in the press.

If some bang average tennis player goes on to win every grand slam next year you can guarantee questions will be asked but because we are England we are infallible to cheating.
It's in the eyes

It does - They defend really well.
Then again getting the benefit of the doubt from referees for key decisions helps alot too.
9-2 of key decisions in their favour as opposed to the 11-13 ratio that Spurs, Arsenal, ourselves and the rags are getting helps a lot in close games.
Most ignoring that aspect of it

It's hard for this thread not to come across as sour grapes – but it is very strange how a team struggling to survive relegation suddenly become world beaters, and it's even stranger that it doesn't appear to have raised any eyebrows amongst the so-called journalists and pundits.
Having just watched MOTD, it's like the Sunderland side Leicester just beat, running away with the league next year!

They do deserve it as they do work so hard for each other. But it would be a tidge closer than it is if reffing decisions followed the same pattern as the teams around them.

Yeah they do - but does working harder really make a team of perennial PL relegation candidates suddenly run-away winners?

Its not so much that they look like they will win it this season its the overnight turnaround at the end of last season too. As someone said, any other sport with this kind of turnaround and it would be talked about how suspisious it was. Shit it at being relegated last season and have just kept it going is my guess.
