The Waiting List

Did mine this morning at 10:00am. No. 2780.

Not too bad, what sort of figure are we looking at so the 2 ends get guaranteed?

There are 6750, approx., seats in the new extended South Stand so anywhere north of that figure might prompt the Club to do both ends at the same time. Possibly lower than that as it will take about 15/18 months to complete.

I'm unaware of the number required before both ends are 'guaranteed'. I'm assuming there will be a percentage of new seats for season tickets and regular match day tickets. I'm sure however there are plenty of supporters like myself that have always wanted a season ticket but could never commit to a full season at £500-£700. I realise I might not definitely get a £299 season ticket but at that price I can't turn down the chance.

Reckon that is the South Stand expansion (6000 seats) full. My thinking is based on mass migration of circa 3000 from Level 2. Yes those Level 2 vacancies will need filling with corporate bottoms but the club must be confident of finding this type of customer as this is their driver for the whole project.

I suppose trickle sales now over the next 18 months will ensure there is justification for both ends being done.

I would guess less than that, if they get say 4000 on the list + relocations from level 2 + maybe an increase in matchday tickets available, that would just about fill the extended stand. If you add in people who don't go on the list but with more success between now and 2015 decided to buy a s/c.
The last thing the club would want is to be back to sold out every league game and have to go through all the cost of planning and more relocations again in 4 years time.
I think the club would only not do both ends at once if they thought it wouldn't be needed for another 5 or so years.

Maybe a daft question but can you put your name down for two tickets and be given just one number?

Ie Father and Son - two deposits paid - No. 2781 only or would they give you 2781 and 2782

I have purchased multiple places on the Seasoncard Waiting List for friends and family members; however their Waiting List numbers are not successive. How do I ensure that we are all sat together?

Supporters that wish to sit together, whether a current Seasoncard holder or a new Seasoncard holder, will need to wait until the lowest numbered supporter on the Waiting List is offered the opportunity to purchase. For example, an existing Seasoncard holder that wishes to sit with friends or family members whose numbers are 10, 87 and 209 on the Waiting List, will need to wait until the supporter who is number 209 on the Waiting List is offered the opportunity to purchase.

Every effort will be made by the Club to ensure that groups of supporter are sat together if requested. However, available seats cannot be held for supporters on the Waiting List and no seat is guaranteed. The Club cannot guarantee that all supporters on the Waiting List will be offered the opportunity to purchase within the same season. The decision of when to purchase lies solely with the supporter.

I got invited to join this "once in a lifetime" event today.

Is this in case I want to add other people?

My understanding was as a level 2 evacuee I was first in line and didn't need to do this if I didn't want to add anyone else.

No mention of this in the email/web page

Dunno but from my uneducated opinion I'd hazard a guess that's a decent amount so far and that both ends is looking likely.

Think your understanding is correct.

Just noticed on the OS that the waiting list is now open to all supporters. Last time I saw someone quote where they were on the list it was around the 3500 mark. If anyone has registered recently can they quote where they are on the list so we can gauge what the take up is like. I have a feeling 3500 might be just enough to warrant the South Stand expansion so any significant take up from now on would probably justify the North Stand expansion. Hopefully.

I think you can presume that as well as those that have gone on the waiting list there are plenty that would be interested in a ST but don't want to hand over £100 two years before they can use it.

So I think they probably could already justify both stands.

I must be getting old, I don't keep up with any of this stuff anymore, gold, platinum, superbia, waiting list, surveys, emails, texts, blue card memberships, cup schemes, loyalty points, Jamie olivers food fare, buy a stainless steel/coloured or cast bronze bluemoon disc, it's probably all exciting and forward thinking but I just wanna go and buy a ticket to watch a football match at the end of the day.

Today I rang up to get three tickets for Bayern as when I read the website it said it was down to 5000 points today which meant I could get all three together now. Only to be told it was 5000 points for cup scheme members first. Asked the fella was there plenty left and he said yes loads. FFS why not quicken up the selling procedure and get them out there and sold, its not like we're playing fucking Bolton and Bury just down the road here.

Agree with Moomba on this. 3,500 plus paying £100 plus for seats that aren't available for 2 seasons is quite impressive. There'll be plenty of people who wont commit now, but would nearer the time.

I have an answerphone message from City inviting me to call back regarding this waiting list. I will call them tomorrow and see if I can find out where we are up to, and if they have a trigger figure in mind for both stands (I doubt they will tell me even if they have a figure in mind)

Got round to returning the club's calls this morning.

Didn't get anything new - I asked how many were on the waiting list and was told over 3,500 which we already knew. It's now open to everyone, so they are hoping it will rise still further. I asked about whether they had a figure they have to hit in order to build the 2nd stand and he didn't know / declined to comment

I have a couple of people I might ask, one ex seasoncard holders who stopped going because they had football on the Saturday, and someone else who works occasional weekends. If you can't go, there's always Dad, or friends who can take it up. I might end up relocating up there nearer the time, just to make this workable. At the moment, my block is all season ticket. I can't take extra people with me, but if we relocated (upstairs) then maybe we could justify an extra seasoncard between us all to use as and when people can go, and we'd all be together which is a big plus. Trouble is the people I am thinking about are not going to stump up £100 up front.
