Made even better by the absence of canned laughter in the UK showings. I've seen it with canned laughter in the US and it just doesn't seem right.
Sally Kellerman played Hotlips in the film. The part was played by Loretta Switt in the tv series.
 
Saw him a lot in his Wigan days, the most exciting player there was, he had everything. RIP.
Inga the winger was a star of both codes. At Wigan he is credited with turning round the chaotic alcohol fuelled life of Jason Robinson.
 
Olive from On the buses has died in a house fire bless her. Grew up watching that show.

Watching City away in the early 70s, we'd often stop at a pub in Alstonefield, Derbyshire, on the way home.
The landlady was a doppelganger of Olive.
Dying in a house fire is a sad way to go. RIP Anna.

Yep quite possible we wouldn't have seen Robinson excel in both codes too were it not for his influence. Kris Radlinski also spoke warmly of how he spent hours helping him improving his game as a youngster. Really seemed like one of the good guys that everyone liked.
