The worst thing about farcical officiating

Not being funny but it’s actually something teams could work on, have a guy run offside play the ball to him watch the defenders stop or be distracted and have someone else run through to shoot. What will future refs do, they’ll be surrounded by players saying it’s the same as Rashford/Fernandes
Hopefully someone will try that

Morning !

Still cant believe that goal was allowed to stand, still really pissed of about it.

The worst thing for me was after 62yrs is slowly falling out of love with football. Only been to one match this season, the fire in my belly isnt there. I dont know why, perhaps it was being there at the villa game. The first time in person I saw us win the league and in dramatic style. Perhaps I need a season off !.

I think we City as a club to take action and show us fans the club cares and cares about us fans. City do something, so us you care

Three matches our fans have things thrown at them. Twice at the Etihad and yesterday. Not one arrest, in fact the club got into bed with the main culprit and wrote a stupid letter. I think it's a fucking disgrace that not one dipper has been arrest.

I might just be me but I dont feel like the club care about us match going fans. I think back to the days of going to Platt lane, and getting your autograph book signed. Perhaps it's now time for me to sit back and let the younger blues take up the fight. Fans my age we did the shit years and most still managed to get our kids to follow City.

I have always said that 70% of utds league title wins were bent.

Having seen the dippers v wolves and rags v City games. Both the home teams statium hasnt got a big screen. Anfield hasnt even go the correct camera positions. Why are these grounds allowed to be used when not up to spec ? City have been screwed numerous times at Anfield and the swamp.
Every time its brushed under the carpet within days.

Fans pay big money yet the red tops are allowed to brake the rules when it comes to the standard of their statiums

Sadly the reason for the cover ups is money. The clubs lower down the league wont say a word because they need the money. Press/media the same, tv the same. The fact that the than head of the premier league can say they a have 6 year plan to ensure a different league winners.
No one from tv or press/media asked them to explain how could you have a plan if the games arent fixed. The premier league basically admitting the league wasnt straight yet it was completely ignored. To me that was a huge story , the best league in the world has a plan to insure a different winner every 6th year.

City have won the league by beating the teams and the system. A system which clubs write to CAS to try and get us banned. A system that allows the press/media to constantly write or say lies about us.

I miss that fire in my belly I havent a clue where it has gone even if it will come back. Perhaps the Palace game this season has turned out to be my last, I dont know. I cant even get that horrible feeling of real anger about yesterday, it's more disbelief I cant understand how the goal was given. Is that the goal that finally gets me to admit 100% the game I love is bent ?
I cant think of any other reason for it to be awarded. VAR was brought in to stop these goals but VAR is just a tool to fix games.

Here ends my Sunday rant :)
Not one word I can’t disagree with personally.
Sums how I feel …eighty odd grounds more than two dozen in Europe and through health reasons (some on here might know) I had to give up my season ticket when I asked if I could get it back this season the club agreed but minus the loyalty points , put this in with VAR etc yes I’m done , I’ll take my youngest to the odd game as I don’t want her missing out . But on a whole never felt so distant from 46 yrs of watching the club I love.

We were in control of the match till we were cheated out of it. It all happened in plain sight which tells its own story. Simply the most dishonest decision I have seen in watching live football for 57 years.

Not sure people understand the psychology of this.

The team has been struggling for a few weeks, more probably, they put in an abject performance against Southampton mid-week, got a rocket from Guardiola, and then were poor in the first half against United. They pull themselves together, take control of the match, score and probably feel pretty good. Then a goal like that gets given against them. It's too easy to say they should pick themselves up and get back on with it. Years of injustice at the hands of referees come straight back and confidence is shot.

I don't blame the players at all for losing that match. That is completely down to the first United goal.

The Rashford run, whether he touches it or not, affects the decision making of the other City players around him, and the runs they make. If Rashford isn’t there then Akanji doesn’t check his run, or Ederson comes out to sweep up, or Walker runs towards the ball rather than along side it. It’s that simple, and on that basis he’s interfering

The whole game is not corrupt but there have always been individual bent decisions and always will be. Some refs now to peer pressure, some hate certain players or teams. It is subtle and nuanced. Atwell’s career will not be harmed by what he did yesterday. There is a media bias in the way LFC and MUFC are treated which impacts on the weaker officials.
The bent decisions that refs make are no way just for their own personal grudges against particular teams or players.. they're clearly being placed under pressure to influence games and favour certain teams by PGMOL, who in turn are given their instructions by the PL.. who receive their instructions from the broadcasters.

Someone said elsewhere on here that match officials have to sign NDA's with PGMOL.
Why?
What have they got to hide?

Yep, it was so bad we never recovered from it mentally….

I agree. The personal grudges are isolated incidents backed up by some refs who have spoken out since retirement.
The bigger issue is institutional bias. It favours the big clubs with the biggest financial clout. The refs don’t want to upset LFC and MUFC because that can damage their careers. The broadcasters are affected by ratings which produces revenues so they have a commercial bias to LFC and MUFC.
The recent summit of senior officials from the PL, FA, and the EFL was attended by six leaders. Two of them support MUFC and two LFC. That is what we are up against.

PS just mike up the ref and VAR so we can here the decision if it isnt bent, what are you scared of ?
