Those who think there's no agenda need to read this...

Fergie's right though - it does even out. Just this weekend I saw a game in which a player had his foot stood on and he didn't get a penalty, but this was evened out by another player who stood on someone else's foot and did get a penalty.

What's the problem?

When will Panorama/Dispatches just burst this bubble and expose this blatent level of corruption in the game?

I was against technology being in the game, but the more this shit goes on the more I want technology in the game... with Ref's mic'd up

Some of the discussions between players and Ref's remind me of WWE:Wrestling where ref's are involved in the outcome of the result

I was also against video technology, but now I'm totally for it. I don't see any sensible objection to it because the only one that seems to come out is about the time it takes, but that can easily be managed. Look how many times a goal gets replayed before the opposition have restarted anyway! If there's time for 3 or more replays like that then there's easily time for a 4th official to check the video before a penalty is taken, a free kick awarded taken, a booking made.

Contact does not automatically equal a foul. Too many do called experts continue to push that line.

As for the Dzeko comparison there is no comparison. It was a clear foul and clear penalty.

Having beaten the defender there was absolutely nothing he could have done to avoid him.

Absolutely spot on (apart from the fact you should have said TV pundits instead of experts). Same thing with handball; it has to be deliberate.

-- Mon Apr 16, 2012 10:07 am --

it's out in the open now, are people forgetting the weeks and weeks they've got these decisions?

i'm convinced now, 100% somethings going on. i've been pretty sure for a while but they can't get this many wrong for just 1 team.

i wonder how bob will defend this one, has he commented yet? even my rag mate thinks it's embarrassing.

What decisions?

I mean apart from:-

The two offside goals away at arsenal

The two very soft penalties away at Chelsea

The even softer penalty and red card against qpr

The soft red card wolves got

Wigans disallowed goal

The clear failure to give Evans a second yellow at wigan

The stonewall penalty fulham were denied

Todays incredibly soft penalty

Apart from them, what decisions?
But don't forget these things even themselves out Chris.

Refs are involved in the outcome in WWE? Really? Where's your evidence for this?

Correct - Gardiners challenge was clumsy and stupid - no need to do it. You´re always playing with fire with those kinds of challenges in the box. He caught Dzeko clearly and he went down albeit more theatrically than necessary, and he could have stayed on his feet. But Gardiner could have avoided attempting the tackle - was his fault and had that been against us I would have ripped into our defender for being so naive

I have said every time one of these threads comes up that there is no corruption, no agenda.
I have to admit, even I am starting to question that viewpoint!!

Same here, refs don't even seem to try and hide it anymore.
