Looking like another shit away end then. Thanks city.
I don't mention anything about the integrity of the points system. In fact, I think the points system overall is a load of shite. I've not mentioned anything about OSC's either but now that you mention it, that's a load of shite too.It was already a closed shop. People bought tickets whether they had any intention of going to a game or not. The difference was that they got the points, which enabled them to have first pick of the tickets.
And you talk about the integrity of the points system yet you say they passed on the tickets to other blues, regardless of how many points they had or even if they were even season ticket holders. Yet you'll moan about OSCs getting 2 tickets per branch and those potentially going to non-season ticket holders.
And as for that last paragraph, it's absolute bullshit. After 40 years of doing away games I'm just not that bothered anymore. The other three people were on the Ticketing working group go to pretty well every away game so there was literally zero self interest involved with them.
But still gobshites and fuckwits like you, who have no knowledge of the background or discussions, insist we made decisions based purely on self interest.
And united fans absolutely support ticket collection at away games as they're keen to ensure that only the people who get the tickets actually use them. They're complaining bitterly that united are refusing to send staff to away games to support that system.
I'm not going to be polite to people who impugn my integrity and that of my CM colleagues, or accuses us of acting purely in self-interest. That's far more abusive than a name or two. If you want to have an intelligent discussion then I'll have one but if you just throw out unfounded insults then that's what you'll get back.I don't mention anything about the integrity of the points system. Name call all you want but people have long memories Colin and you've been called out on more than one platform for your role in the above. You are correct about no one having any knowledge or background of any discussions because none of the minutes from meetings that you attended were made public despite the whole point of the City Matters Group was to be transparent.
You talk about ticket collection but that's not been properly implemented and it's only historically been implemented intermittently, Celtic away being the obvious one that comes to mind.
As for United and their fans, fuck them and fuck their club
The number of tickets available to loyalty points holders does seem to have been reduced. I've got just over 20000 loyalty points and in the last few years I've fallen down the pecking order, with many games selling out before it reaches my points, which wasn't the case a few years ago. There's also a significant increase in tourists with away tickets. For every away match, their are roughly 1500 people getting tickets who also don't qualify but they don't seem to come under the same scrutiny ,from within the club as the loyalty point holders.
Colin, just out of interest how did the club the club gather the information as to the amount of tickets being used by different people rather than the owner for away matches?
I enjoyed queuing for 12 hours for my Gillingham ticket, never to be forgotten! The good old days! How about we go back to queueing at the ticket office and presenting ticket stubs from previous games?
Queueing for my Gillingham wembley ticket around Maine road was a delight.
Early morning start, i miss them days
And the 1500 who don't qualify can pass them onto who ever they want. Plus if pick up in destination ever comes in, that lot will be excluded! The only issue here is city screwing us all over, giving point holders less tickets! For every away match, their are roughly 1500 people getting tickets who also don't qualify but they don't seem to come under the same scrutiny ,from within the club as the loyalty point holders.
