Ticket Pricing for Inter (H)

Thousands of tickets were resold for the Inter game on the Facebook pages. Most of these tickets were being sold for less than face value. The sellers get the ticket points and the buyers got more affordable tickets.

So how does the recipient get the season ticket holders ticket?

Do they have to be a Citizen and transfer the ticket to ‘friends and family’ on the Ticket Exchange after being paid for the ticket or is there an easier way?

They have to be on the Cup Scheme to transfer the ticket via F&F (after they’ve been paid for it).

So Facebook is acting as the Ticket Exchange but you still have to use the exchange to transfer the ticket.

And the seller can ask any price or give it away.

So if I didn’t want to go to a game I couldn’t just send a photo of my season ticket for that game to my mate - they would have to become a Citizen and it would have to be done by the Ticket Exchange? Is that right - there’s no other way of getting in on somebody else’s ticket unless I give them my phone?

Yes as a club we have fucked up ??? Are you real ?
I think it's very clear at the club that we've got a bunch of people in suits who are tasked with meeting short term targets, and unfortunately some of the decisions being made will have a negative impact on the club in the long run. That's a fact unfortunately.

And the truth is that most of the people making these crucial decisions, will probably have moved on by the time it has any significant impact on us

These ticket forums have a policy of face value or less for ticket prices. Sending pics of bar codes / QR codes is hit and miss so it’s always safer to to transfer the ticket through F&F. My advice is don’t buy a ticket if you’ve got no
Intention of going. The amount of people who do that might artificially inflate the ticket prices as the club has left tickets to shift.

Feels like this is breaking the average fan. Successive season ticket hikes, expensive cup matches + cost of living. City need to read the room here. Group stages and early cup games are an excellent opportunity to get families through the door. But Inter would have cost a typical family of 4 £200 plus about £50 in travel/membership/drinks snacks.
That's my concern. The club probably has the biggest family stand in the league. Front and centre in the north stand. It's going to shrink through business decisions of something isn't done soon. I honestly would suggest reverse dynamic pricing. If a ticket isn't sold 48 hrs before a game amend the booking to pay what you can afford as long as the buyer is a citizen with an M postcode.

Not a bad idea although why just an M postcode? People with some OL and SK postcodes will live a lot nearer than some M codes.
Thousands of blues have been priced out of the club and football in general is on the brink of losing a generation of kids whose parents can’t afford to take themselves let alone the kids. We need them in the ground on a regular basis not just on the odd occasion. Pretty sure under 16 were just £99 when we first moved to the Etihad! What’s the cheapest ticket now for that age group? Ijudt don’t think the club cares anymore as they are intent in squeezing every last drop out of people. I think if they could fill the ground with 52k corporates they would.

UEFA definitely have ‘Premium’ sears in East Stand. They describe it as ‘Champions Club’. I sit in East Stand and there’s always away fans there. They must be easy to obtain.
These are two different things. The 250 tickets in CB2 are allocated to the visiting club by City, but the Champions Club in the East Stand are UEFA tickets and go to various UEFA hangers-on and their sponsors/partners. Away fans get them through contacts at the sponsors rather than direct from the away club.
It used to piss me off when I sat in 206 as I was moved for CL games but my seat would have a City fan in it who had bought from the club after UEFA had returned the ticket. I guess that rarely happens these days as we are more attractive to neutral fans.
As an aside, I'm sure the rags (not this season) and dippers will also have to give up 250 prime position seats and I'm surprised their fans haven't kicked off about it.
