Torres

i wouldn't want tevez in the premier league coming back to haunt us. have we not learned lessons from adebayor and bellamy ?

Adebayor can't play against us so hardly likely to score....

As for haunting us, you won't be saying that when he bags against the rags in a few weeks! :-)

so you want tevez staying in the prem and to swap him with a guy who couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo ? we would be ridiculed

I don't want to swap tevez for Torres, I'm just saying that Torres would fit into our team.

Torres is a confidence player, when he bangs a few in and gets his confidence back you will all see there aint many better in the PL.

I dont think we need a target man ala Dzeko, I think we should play with a front 3 like Barca, all interchangeable, quite small players who are technically gifted and can control the ball in tight spaces without constantly giving it away.

I agree with you except about torres, i think he's shot and he should go back to spain

We already have a 'confidence player,' think I'll pass on any more.

Do you not think that Silva is exactly what he needs?

I look at the way Silva and Aguero link up Silva and Tevez last season and I just think that they would both thrive off each other.

I'm not trying to get at Dzeko as you can't argue with his scoring record, just not convinced yet, his heading, first touch and shooting all appears to be a bit hit and miss for me

Watching a few Spain games might give an indication on that but Torres doesn't even get much of a sniff for them either. if we want a striker then i would go after one of the Napoli lads

Yeah I tend to agree, Lavezzi would be my preferred choice as he can play on the right and has a lot of pace which we strangely seem to be lacking at the mo!

But he has become a shit player overnight..........................the reason? No wingers at Chelsea, and since we dont play with out and out winger's either, its likely to produce the same resut..........................disasterous idea.
He was bad for Liverpool in the latter stages, bad for Spain and bad for us. Three different supporting casts, one featuring the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso and Busquets; and none of them could restore his form. I've been backing him since he arrived, but after a year of poor performances, with one spell early this season where he was looking good, you've just got to concede that he's a spent force. I think he should be sold to a slower league like Italy where his considerable pace (which he still has) can still be exploited. He could be rejuvenated out there.

Physically he is absolutely fine. The problem with him is he hesitates so much. He is afraid to shoot and makes bad decisions, usually involving extra touches meaning his chance is gone. Recently he's become a bit of a playmaker to compensate for it but I don't think he'll ever be as prolific as he used to be.

Agreed - and sort of reminds you of one we own already - Dzeko..............................

Don't agree with most of the above you are seriously telling me that Torres needs wingers to flourish? Don't ever recall him being the potent header in the box player

What torres needs is an interchanging front line full of trickery, and most of all intelligence, he doesn't get that from Chelsea, there is only Mata that ticks those boxes and as a new player into the team, Mata is still finding his way into their system.

Class is permanent as the saying goes, he is shot to pieces and I don't think the English Media help with that so maybe going back to spain would help - Send him back to Atletico and free up Falcao for us :-)
