It won't happen, but this should be the team, plenty of legs and just enough guile to pose enough attacking threat to edge it.

Are you hearing any rumours about the place about why we are performing so badly?

Even with our injuries, we could still put out a very strong team. Pellegrini has to react this week. If not, and he just goes again with the same team and shape then we'll have to get lucky and do a Leicester and score from 2 set pieces to win.

Why would there be rumours, Karen?

Fact is, injuries, players passed their sell-by date and too many games, has exposed this current cycle for what it is, we're nowhere near as good as we think we are.

Has been the case for 18 months.

The players are trying, even if they haven't had their eyes opened yet to what a proper, tactically astute manager will do for this club. Fans, also.

end of story is we cannot afford to lose this one. draw is not so bad. win id take

have to pack midfield. spurs are quite strong in the middle with that deli alli and erikkson. those are the two whom will be dangerous against us.

personally I would go with a mourinho approach

4-5-1

Get bony in (if fit) to draw fouls.

Pack the middle

Stop the supply to kane

And score from set peices.

Sterling -Fernandhino - Fernando - delph - Kolarov

BONY / AGuero

Can't believe he won't pick Yaya and to be honest without Dave we will need his control of the ball and the game. Fern and Delph just don't have that ability and as for playing Kola in midfield then after his distribution last week that's a big risk.

I'm not a great Fernando fan but think his defensive skills will be needed.

So -

Joe

Zaba. Otter. Sagna. Clichy.

Fernando
Fern. Yaya
Nacho. Raheem.

Serge.

The player we'll miss the most this weekend will be Navas, his presence alone would've nulified their fullbacks pushing on and also give us an outlet on the counter if he got in behind.

I'm just hoping with a full weeks rest and no mid-week game we can have a word with ourselves, regroup and go again, i'm not feeling that confident though.

Not a bad Idea in all fairness. Think sometimes you have to go for a more defensive approach to kill off teams that we know are in form and have pace on the break.

Unfortunatley MP only plays attacking against any english opposition which is why we get caught on the break/give soft goals away every game against a half decent team that find out weaknesses straight away.

Just curious as to if there was anything else going on
