Tram on Sunday to Etihad

Bury/Whitefield <-> Etihad, is a change needed or is it direct?

You can stay on it LC through Piccadilly to the ground.

Has anybody used the tram from Eccles to the ground, and if so what was the cost/experience please.

I used it today & had a quiet peaceful journey both ways. Can't comment on cost as I get free travel but A.R.sole of Salford will be able to tell you that. Parked at Ladywell. Tram every 12 mins from Eccles.

I was talking to a Metrolink guy who said that they were putting trams on every 6 mins & double length trams. Get off at Piccadilly Station & queues form on the left. Good experience.

Leeds fans completely took over our tram there and back,more so coming back.No hint of trouble though.

Don't mind if I do, TB. Bit bloody parky out of the sun today. No good, that, when you're stood around waiting for a tram/bus.

Absolute shambles heading to Droylsden. When one eventually turned up at the stadium it proceeded to under Alan Turing way where it stayed for over 15mins, total journey time Stadium to Droylsden 40mins, not again thank you..

Yeah, I was on that one. Got off at Edge Lane to continue journey by bus to either Hurst Cross or Ashton, dependent on whether 231 or 216 arrived first, but wound up waiting another half hour there - this on top of the 12+ mins waiting for a tram at the Etihad then the hold-up under Alan Turing Way. Travel time more than doubled.

So not really Metrolink's fault, I assume GMP ordered them to wait until the crowd cleared.

Normally walk from Victoria, this time pre bought a tram ticket had a few pints in Shambles square, wandered back to Victoria at 1 pm hopped on a tram got a seat (it only got rammed at Piccadilly) Left the ground at full time and was going to walk back but thought fuck it give it a go only waited 10 minutes or so for a tram to arrive back at Victoria with 25 minutes to go before my train back home, quick pint and home.

Will definetly use the trams from now on.

Well since that car parking is now £8 I think the tram will be a more suitable options from Eccles.

Eccles blue, do you have to get off and into another tram or do they go straight through to the Etihad?

Have to say I'm not Metrolink's greatest fan but I caught it from Prestwich and then back into town and it worked well. The Mancini announcement got a huge cheer.
