Bloody hell Taconinga how many people do you know who have shot others by accident?
Pistol, rifle, shotgun, or bow and arrow?
Pistol - 2. First was self-inflicted while cleaning. Bullet traveled down the shin, exited at the ankle, shattering the bone. Second was self-inflicted in a quick-draw contest. Shot a hole in his own foot trying to unholster the pistol.
Rifle - 1. Worked an accident scene where a father cleaning his rifle didn't properly check to see if it was loaded. Killed his small son. I think the kid was two or three. Shot through chest.
That was the last time in my life I've vomited. Couldn't stop myself from doing it.
Shotgun - 0 accidental. My mother did shoot my step-father with rock salut, though. Not an accident. Thank goodness nothing serious with a shotgun.
Bow and arrow - 1. Boy I went to high school with was bow hunting with his father. Saw movement and fired. Killed his father. The father was 30 foot up a tree in a stand wearing an orange vest. Not accidental, but my mother also shot my step-father in the leg with a bow and arrow. That was a tumultuous relationship.
