TV Series

I love it. But I wish I'd waited until after Christmas to binge all the episodes together. I think it'd have been more enjoyable that way.

Great concept though.
Same here, i had assumed that the 6 available episodes were the whole series and watched them over the past 2 nights, but the ending to 6 didn't seem like totality so i looked it up and lo+behold there's 3 more ffs.

not only that but i also read that there is going to be a 2nd series, which tells us that the whole concept isn't resolved by the end of this 1st series ffs

Mrs was watching the first series of Mr. Mercedes while I watched the rags on the tablet so I was watching the series 90% of the time. Struggled to like the lead characters. With Dexter and Breaking Bad even though they were wrong uns I loved them.
You was watching the rags fucking hell I hate them with a vengeance but I would not watch instead of corrie lol

SAY NOTHING on Disney or channel four
9 episodes was really good entertainment.
its about the troubles in Ireland from 1972 onwards.
Well worth watching
Strongly recommend the book. I'm watching and up to Episode5. I don't know if it's covered in the TV series but one of Jean's boys ended up in the Northern Ireland Care Home System. I'll leave you to work out what happened to him in that system. Tragic.

Up to date with stranger things now. Have to say, episode 4, what's with all the CGI? I guess it has to end somehow but I'm not sure I'm invested on it like I was previously. Seems a lot of plot holes, the 80s vibe is just dumped completely, and the demogorgons just seem less terrifying. Not much emphasis on that core friendship or growing together as friends, just seems they want action at all costs and to shout s*** enough times to break the Guinness world record, and damn the logic.

I'll finish the series when it's out later this month, probably, but it doesn't feel like the same series almost.

Trying to get to grips with Letterkenny too, funny but need subs!

Did a 5 year tour over there in the late 80's with the R.A.F so was looking forward to watching this but after reading the reviews, it looks like its sympathetic to the main characters so will give it a miss.

I wouldn’t say that, it definitely would’ve pissed of Gerry Adams so that in itself is a bonus, I thought it was very good and like you having served (although never went to Ireland) I fucking hated them bastards with a passion, still pisses me off they all got pardons and now they are trying to prosecute troops from decades ago.

Saw an excellent British series called Malice on Prime. Has Jack Whitehall (or do I mean Jamie Redknapp) starring in the lead role which in itself is strange as it is a totaly seious role and early on I was expecting him to crack a joke or deliver a comedy line.... he never did either but was quite excellent (IMHO)

A nice tight storyline with some interesting plots and what I consider to be an unusual ending, about which I will say no more as i wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone. A great piece to watch over a couple/few winter days.

Enjoy... I did immensely.
My son is in it. Plays the male copper who attends the break in at the mansion/house.

I thought it was shite… a totally preposterous storyline e.g. emptying a London mansion in an evening.. total bollocks but hey, it’s only my opinion

Definitely not. It’s a great series and more sympathetic to the victims…. IE the disappeared. It’s an assassination of Gerry Adams’ character if anything, mainly by Dolours Price and Brendan Hughes.
