It doesn't reflect the IRA in a good light in my opinion. It sympathies the IRA volunteers in regards how they were groomed and peer pressure from families. But shows how badly they were treated by Gerry Adams and lied too.Did a 5 year tour over there in the late 80's with the R.A.F so was looking forward to watching this but after reading the reviews, it looks like its sympathetic to the main characters so will give it a miss.
Not sure what reviews you have been reading but it certainly not sympathetic to the main characters. It allows them to tell their stories without judgement or comments. They tend to condemn themselves by their own words. As in all conflicts there are issues on both sides. Today with the release of the report into Stakeknife's activities it shows what both sides were up to.Did a 5 year tour over there in the late 80's with the R.A.F so was looking forward to watching this but after reading the reviews, it looks like its sympathetic to the main characters so will give it a miss.
Watched it and having twins in my family made it even more absorbing.
Bonkers !!!

I'm on episode 3 and it is an interesting watch with superb performances from the two sisters. The troubles as seen through an IRA sympathetic lens so far.Fantastic and so enlightening
