He bought the fans a pint and told them we would topple Man United. That sort of shit plays well in the Peanut Gallery but in the real world item number one on the job description of a football CEO is "Don't make a complete dick of yourself on a regular basis". You might like care to admit it but, to give Cook credit, he does.Garry Cook the laughing stock of football? Really?
Everything that man said became reality, oh did they laugh, but as the old saying goes, he who laughs last, laughs longest.
He was a superb CEO who got the club , fans and the City of Manchester.
He fought our case, far more than the present incumbent, who cleary does not get us as fans.
And Garrry and for that matter Mancini would not have put up with the utter crap the media and other clubs throw at us.
Gaffe-prone Cook (the man who claimed Kaka 'bottled' it) owns up to embarrassing City
Former chief executive Garry Cook admits he felt he had embarrassed Manchester City supporters with some of the errors he made while at the club.
