UAP/UFO thread - Non-Human Intelligences

In my experience, Moon landing deniers usually turn out to be Flat Earth skeptics who eventually warp into fundamentalist Christian creationists. It's a well trodden path.

You say you're open to debate but the topic you want to debate is undebatable. So my position is that we landed on the Moon. In this debate I have thousands of data points collected from research and space institutes all over the planet including physical data.
In the other position, you have to prove that something didn't happen. How is this possible? How do you prove something didn't happen?
So maybe you say NASA faked a photo? OK, let's say that for some reason you believe this, that still doesn't prove they didn't go to the Moon, it proves they faked a photo.

You don't need to debate to show that something didn't happen. You need to explain what did happen which explains every data point that we have from Moon rocks to laser pointing and satellite tracking. You need to explain all of that and what did happen that doesn't include landing on the Moon and how the evidence fits this. Because if this is one of those Kubrick on a soundstage bullshit things, you may as well say we didn't go to the Moon because the Moon isn't real
I thought the moon was made of cheese .. ;-)

Wow.

What an arrogant cnut.

You can debate differences of opinion you know without being an aggressive tool.

If you don't agree with someone then voice your opinion in a respectful way without calling people dickheads , morons , idiots , ignorant, brain dead.

Challenge people but come on mate if you showed that attitude towards the wrong person it wouldn't be long before you looked like a shitting dog.

Be nice.

“Differences of opinion”

LOL

Yep...and they NEED ridiculing. Thy don't use logic or critical thinking, yet they're allowed to vote. They often rely on false info and lies to get their points across.

Ah... The sweet stench of superior arrogance!

I have no opinion on whether it happened or not, but it's interesting to hear the reason why a return has never happened... Because 'we've been there already'! It's very bizarre considering man wants to colonise Mars, up the road, and yet hasn't been been back next door!

Isn't it better to build a station on the moon to see if it can be done before travelling all the way to Mars?

That isn't his way. He'd prefer to be an arsehole and "Big man me, little man you'" everyone. No doubt he's attempting to make up for something in his past or a shortcoming he currently has in his life.
Spot on. I recently dipped my toes in the politics sub forum, what a mistake, it's just an echo chamber of people who can't abide anyone having a view that doesn't align with there's and they descend into personal attacks. I'm out of there.

I thought they were looking at going back to the moon in the not too distant future. And they DID return to it.
You doubt the landings?

Moon landing was on Apollo 11.
Apollo missions didn't finish until 17. So a return happened 6 times.

After that, interest and funding collapsed because there was no political reason to go, which is the reason we went in the first place.

Fair enough.

I'm interested in why the other landings weren't as lauded. Case-in-point that an Average Joe doesn't really remember past the first one.

And, wouldn't there be a real reason to go, other than point scoring now?

Haven't you seen Apollo 13?

They were lauded, every one was big news at the time and televised.

Because they have new rivals and because of the plan to use it as a launchpad to get to Mars.

I personally can't see the point, waste of money and resources. But if Musk, Shield and Bezos want to fuck off to Mars forever I'm all for it.
