United (a) post-match thread

The laughable part about this is the goals they scored were given to them. That's how fucking shit they are.

We played in first gear with several starters missing and they still got handed the win on a platter. That will be the most frustrating thing for Pep I imagine.

Consistently he's putting together teams and tactics, and we are giving away losses by shooting ourselves in the foot.

Has anyone else experienced a massive over reaction from the Man United fans in their lives? They beat us a few times in a season where we have never looked like winning the league and yet we are still miles ahead of them. I remember the days when our season revolved around beating them and it has now certainly become the focal point of their season.

The reaction from their fans is hilarious.

Not just the fans, the team are doing another lap of honour this afternoon. Free entry at 1pm.

Is Zinchenko shit now? I don't remember anyone saying this last season when he was our first choice left back and we won the domestic treble?

He's a decent enough footballer but can't run which is a bit of an issue at fullback whenever exposed. He also offers nothing going forward especially when our current left sided attacker can't go on the outside and is woefully out of form. He's good on the ball but will never be a top fullback and that's the only place he plays for us. Two of our centre backs aren't god enough but can't anyone say that either because they've won titles with us?

Chelsea did the business against Everton and we failed to kick united down the league even further and that’s a missed opportunity as far as I’m concerned.

You are right but any season includes missed opportunities. Remember the missed opportunity to win the title against the rags in the centurions season. Or the missed opportunity to beat Spurs and reach a CL final or win the quadruple. It's part and parcel of football to involve missed opportunities. The thing is the ratio between missed and non missed opportunities to be generally positive. Which for the rags it isn't. Their last 6-7 seasons read like huge missed opportunities.

It's insane, we'll never win such a large haul of trophies in such a short space of time ever again. If he is here until the end of next season I think he'll win another 4 serious honours. We have become so accustomed to success that we will happily sit and complain about a loss 7 days after winning a cup final and an away game in Madrid. He's a winning machine and when he goes we will be going back to the level of Mancini/Pellegrini's teams. Enjoy it whilst it lasts lads, ask Barcelona and Bayern fans if they wish he'd come back - you know the awnser already.

100%. Let's not get too worried about the rags result, both sets of fans know the gulf that exists is still vast in terms of quality of football. Pep's hobby is collecting trophies, enjoy the ride while it lasts. blues.

Your absolutely right, I think what has bothered fans the most, well I might be speaking for myself here is that with all Pep's tactical nous he has been done by Ole twice in the league. Ole hasn't the experience that Pep has nor does he have the personnel but he has come out on top both times. There are a few videos circulating that do show that United were very organized tactically and had a solid game plan. Pep didn't seem to have a game plan, made strange selection choices and for me didn't take the derby seriously even though it has no real effect on our league standing. That is the hardest bit for me to take rather than the loss.
