United Post Match Thread

Is Guardiola worth all this humiliation?? No!
Should have fucked this fraud off 12months ago and got a proper manager

Would have been ideal to have MP see out the season, and then make the change.

But I've joined the MP out, he just doesn't deserve to stay in the job.
I agree.

His decisions are costing us points.

Starting Demichelis. Playing one striker. Playing Toure whose legs have gone. He repeats this time and time again.

I said at the end of the season that as a club we had gone backwards. We downgraded from Tevez, to Negredo and Dzeko and then ended up with Bony, same again with De Jong, to Javi Garcia and then to Fernando. When i stated this last summer, i was massively criticised by various other members on here for my negative opinions, now we are all in the same boat. This is why i try and avoid these forums and i rarely come on here because you cannot have an opinion without being shot down for being "wrong" or being called a "doom merchant" or even a "rag". This forum is very much like the red and white kop forum sometimes, too many fans hold up this barrier in front of them and have this false optimism of the team just to portray that they are more of a better fan than other fans who have a different view which is less positive. I hope after todays performance, people really start to take their blue tinted specs off and really smell the coffee. It has now finally hit home to many blues, that as a squad we have gone backwards since we first won the league under Mancini.

As for Pellegrini, i like the bloke, he seems a really nice fella but as a manager hes very ordinary. Mancini did not really deserve to be sacked in the first place and one difference you see with a Mancini City side and a Pellegrini City side is that we seem to be beaten comfortably by average sides under Pellegrini. We have been completely thumped by Liverpool and Tottenham and we look absolutely awful at the back. Under Mancini, we held the best defensive record for 3 seasons running and we were rarely beaten by more than one goal. Even when we lost under Mancini, we still showed a lot more fight than this side under Pellegrini, there is a vulnerability about this side now. When one of your star players cries over a Birthday cake and a few months later is given vice captaincy, you know you have a manager who is allowed to be taken the complete piss out of. We want a manager who is the BOSS, who is in charge and does not take any shit. When Yaya Toure kicks and stamps his feet, Pellegrini lets him do whatever he pleases and this lack of authority has set the tone for the rest of the squad. No wonder the players aren't fighting for the shirt, because they are not being made to fight for it.

Thank fuck we have Guardiola in charge next season, a manager who can reshape the club from top to bottom. Too many times this season we have had a side not willing to get out of 2nd gear, under Pep they will be lucky to get out of 6th gear or else they will not be playing for Manchester City football club. We need to get rid of the medical team because they are dreadful and 3/4 of our squad needs to be replaced. We need a serious serious revamp next season. We lack an energy and an exuberance within our side what Tottenham have shown this season, this is why we are getting completely dicked when we come up against younger and more energetic sides. Kolarov, Demichelis, Mangala, Fernando, Navas, Bony... please just fuck off. Sterling can do one if he doesn't improve as well. As for Delph, i don't think he will ever be city class and Yaya's time has also come. Great servant to the club and will go down as one of the best to ever wear a blue shirt, but his legs have completely gone and he hasn't shown the same desire this season as he has in previous seasons, his time has come to move him on.

The only thing that Demichellis should be doing is looking in the mirror and asking himself if he really wants to keep embarrassing himself in front of 50,000 people every time he plays.

We're gonna be under the cosh every time Demichelis plays against any quick-passing or pacey players! And that backpass to Joe Hart was criminal. But I stand by my view that it wasn't a pen!

That was the worst Utd team I have seen, and we couldn't beat them

Was on the way back on the train and loads of blues were saying the team couldn't be bothered and had given up playing for Pellegrini, but I saw plenty of effort in that 2nd half. We gave everything.

Utd got a bit lucky as they offered very little going forward but we are dying as a creative force

We need to stop playing Toure, and go 442. Our biggest asset is Aguero and he spent most of the game coming deep or going wide to get the ball. He needs support. Also missed Kolarov. Going forward he has a great left foot and so many times today our attacks broke down because we had no width on the left.

KDB and Nasri are our last chance of saving the league season. We've had some bad luck with injuries but Pellegrini is inept
Have to agree second half we totally dominated and were unlucky not to get at least a draw, but that all came about through mdm being removed pellegrini takes all the blame he shouldn't have started him in the first place silly old cnut..

Too many on here touching themselves about Pellegrini -he's a wank manager employed by a man who has no fucking idea about English football- re phrase that- faith in a DOF who has no fucking idea about English football - he's bought shit and will continue to buy shit- he likes spending £200m hoping that a £100m will turn out alright .

fucking wank

Well not really good enough. I always believe in us but I do see truth in much of the negativity. We're playing nowhere near our best most of the time, horrendous injuries do not help. Joe and Sterling now, what the hell next? Mostly I'd love to see better or faster attacking and a bit more fight against adversity especially in big games. Could mention more but don't enjoy moaning. The goal was keeper error I thought, but we were perhaps lucky with penalties anyway. I still think our best team would beat just about anyone. Realistic hope is top 3 then I'm sure next season will be better.

Can't fully blame Demi as he knows ( he said it at start of season) and the fans know he is not longer a player you can use to start a game. Only pellees is too fucking stuborn to accept it, as soon as the team was anounced most in pub pre game said we were one chance of a one on one between demi and one of their forwards from them scoring and that's what happened. The worst united team I have ever seen and we should be beating, yet we set up at a disadvantage and fucked up. All pellers this only changed it when it was too far gone. not only dissapointed but annoyed that we let that shite beat us.

I despise them... But it was a stonewall penalty...

There isn't one penal offence that matches what happened in that incident. No trip, no handball, no kick, no push, no holding. If I fell out of my FOC seat in CBL3 it would have been more of a pen! Comes nowhere near the Sterling trip, the Aguero double trip nor the Navas trip. The **** drops dead after he went past Demi. He wasn't quick thinking enough to go to ground on the contact. The Whistling Wanking Bottler wouldn't have given it then, either!

We have the best forward in the league! But he is the most isolated player in the league, I don't think he's seen a team mate since the carling cup celebrations!
Yes we've got/had injuries, apart from Leicester who hasnt!
We've been found out, we've got plan no plan B.
We'll plod through rest of the season and get 7th, exactly what we deserve

it was a penalty my friend, the whole challenge was wrong, the timing, the execution, the whole thing was a stonewaller.

The timing was wrong, the execution was wayward but football is a contact sport. The contact did not cause him to go to ground. Demichelis didn't trip him so I can't see where the pen comes in. Do look at it from the North Stand camera. I think that SSNakes TV have it. I might be the only one in fifty thousand who thought it wasn't a pen, but I stick with it. He's a cheatin, divin' Rag cnut from the Ashley Young school of gymnastics.

The fucking 6 additional minutes was a joke as well, Hart's injury was 4 mins so 5 subs and all the other shit going on only resulted in an extra 2 mins!

I agree.

His decisions are costing us points.

Starting Demichelis. Playing one striker. Playing Toure whose legs have gone. He repeats this time and time again.

Who would you start above Demichelis?

Who would you start up front with Aguero?

Who would you play instead of Yaya?

You might make these statements, but we DO NOT have adequate replacements.

Just got back.

I think if you put our points average after the first 6 games until now, back into the first 6, we would be 8th. That is quite incredible, isn't it?

Statistically this season has been beyond comprehension when we use the last 5 years as an example. We have fallen so far from those standards we set ourselves under Mancini. Pelligrinis first year was decent but the signs have been around for a good 12-18 months now. Unfortunately over the last 6 months we have broken all our own records that we set over a 2-3 year period. In that respect, under his stewardship,we have quite literally gone backwards. That despite a significant amount of investment.

The only defence I can bring, certainly this season, is that the league is just fucking camacarzy and you only need look at Chelsea to prove that. They sacked their manager, though, and could conceivably catch us if we continue as we are. A long shot yes, but not beyond the realms of reason.

Personally, I see no reason to keep him. I think the apple is now rotten and if we put a caretaker in, the impact couldn't really be any worse.

That spelling of kamikaze is the only highlight of the day
