Morning Strets.

Apologies if you've already passed an opinion, whats your take on what's happening at your place? The media are seemingly starting to crank up the pressure (Spencer on Talksport last night was proper chopping his onions as was Custis this morning) and that usually only leads to the inevitable. Do you think he'll get it right? Do you think he'll be given the time he needs?
Wee 6ft 1 Davey has had a baptism of fire, and like I,ve said he's been very unlucky ,I would be astonished if he lost his job ( btw I don't like anyone losing their regardless of their profession ,unless they are MP) it's only just recent that I think he's losing his nerve, team selection wise.

What you have to remember that this situation is unique for most of the players too, much is said of their experience in title run ins ,but this is different.Sundays game was quite enjoyable in a way it was funny when Utd scored twice ,and when nowhere near as frustrating as you would imagine when Fulham equalised.I wasn't having a dig at City when I said I would have been fuming if Utd were title contenders, when the final whistle went.

I have the feeling they are preparing basically for two cup finals v City and Liverpool and a best attempt at the CL as possible.Unfortunately Big Davey will find out you just can't switch on from like a light switch, winning is a habit.

Will he get it right? I could manage sides with the talent the top teams have? So yes ,but he has a big job on replacing some very reliable big names,so his recruitment will be vital.

Whatever happens enjoy this time ,because without doubt Utd will be back winning and frustrating you lot before too long, they won't do a Liverpool .As we see money talks and as loathsome as we think our owners ours ,they are successful business men ,who love money.Even if they fail ,the queue to invest in Utd is endless, much to your chagrin they are a license to print money, that will never go away.

Other than that FC will have their new ground by then and they will be on the march

Oh we are, and remember money or not no team has a devine right.

As someone posted a few pages back THE FIRST 20 YEARS ARE THE HARDEST.

Don't let us keep you raggy go car a river somewhere that has some sympathy for you.,

Unless they have started giving out 7 or 8 points a match for beating Us and Liverpool, your team are going to be too far behind the the top 4.
(God that sounded good, saying that to a United fan)
Top 4 is no honour for Utd we are use to better than that,6 th will do me fine ( outside the EL) no European football next season will be a blessing for both the team and the supporter.

Regarding the current crop of players or as they are still known Champions, the squad is as good as any in the Prem inc City, first eleven no,squad yes.
It's obvious the change of management hasn't gone down well with the experience players ,and it's looks like most of them will be off ski sooner than expected , but I,m sure they will purchase suitable replacements ,they have done in the past,so I can't see why that should change.
So no panic from our household ,after so much success i was prepared for a dodgy spell when the great man jacked it in.Quite enjoying really.keeps them in the headlines as ever.

Seriously?

I don't even think your current squad is underachieving. Sixth or seventh best in the league is just about right.

As we see money talks and as loathsome as we think our owners ours ,they are successful business men

Successful business men are -by definition- wealthy people. Richard Branson, Alan Sugar etc. Your owners are up to their ears in debt: no better than the people in Benefit Street who rely on Wonga to pay their bills.

'They' haven't purchased quality in the past, Ferguson has. Who did Moyes ever attract to Everton of any note? Good players, yes, but not great players which is what United will need if they are to compete again. Mata is there for game time only and was in a bad situation at Chelsea. I dare say if someone with more chances of trophies than United would have come in, he would have gone there instead. Moyes tried to get quality in last summer - and ended up with £24m Failaini for all his hard work. I can't see why that would be any different, especially with no CL to offer. Liverpool, should they make the CL, will attract those names over United.

And when you fail to get 6th, 7th, 8th.... quite probably 9th as well, what then?

Football has changed, moved on. All these mega stars are not forming an orderly queue outside wee Daveys office begging for the opportunity to join this mammouth club, possibly second or third tier players yes, but the mega stars? I don think so, and so it will remain for as long as you don't have Champions league football and you do have Moyes as manager. And for as long as you have Moyes you will not stand a chance of playing Champions league football.

Ask any player in the world which club would you wish to play for and United would be on that list, without doubt.

What a silly-sausage, arrogant thing to say. Tell me why they would want to play for United at present. To play for Moyes? To play alongside Johnny Evans? To play in a big stadium? Players will go where the trophies are, and United won't be amongst the mix for trophies as long as Moyes is in charge there, and that my friend is a fact. Players will go to us, Arsenal and Chelsea before they go there now, and whoever finishes 4th too, especially if it's Liverpool.
You will have to settle for players in desperate situations and players in the 'good but not great' group of players.

Why what's wrong with Johnny Evans ? He'd get in City's team arguably alongside Kompany.

It was Utd who made a lot of players great.

You must have been in a coma last summer, you got more snubs than a homeless guy begging for change on Market Street.
