Do we know whether the percentage we keep of dually branded merchandise is the same as Rags/Red Dippers etc.?

This might explain some of the discrepancy I.e. our returns may be more weighted to future actual sales as we are an emerging brand (speaking only financially of course!).

May have been mentioned previously, but it seems the rags have also sold their image rights on the shirts as part of the deal. I may be wrong, but previously the rags have held onto their own image rights which means they took a share off each shirt sold. Now that's gone with this deal, so it's not as lucrative as it first seems. Others may correct me, but handing their image rights to adidas seems a sizeable sell out.

Hopefully we get some extra % after sold shirts(and everything else that is Nike) extra but its usually only a smaller portion of the deal itself. And probably our rivals get it too after selling more things...

Btw asked and Italian friend as he know their teams and Serie A very well he said the 3 biggest clubs (Juve, Milan, Inter) has around deals like 18-20m €/year. So around 15-18m pounds per year little bit higher than ours but clearly lower than our rivals in England.
Juve, Milan, Inter together wont get as much as United tho.

(While he says a good club of course they dont have huge supporter fan base globally but a famous club like Fiorentina only getting 2m€˛year deal. Thats probably Championship level deal maybe...

The Rags are wetting themselves on Red Café.
The list of players they are now going to sign is endless.
But, United don't buy success, they nurture it.
Wait a minute!

Just one more point.

United knew this money was coming, yet they've only signed 2 players, even though they've gone in for many more. It's one thing having the money, but it's another thing signing those players. As it stands United can't offer a player CL football. And that's where the best players want to be.

Once the name and #istory alone at United would guarantee a signing, Not anymore.

People will eventually have to wake up to this FFP bollox, when the rags are signing deals like this then everyone is at a disadvantage, i'm not complaining about it as it's the nature of the beast but surely people can see that the only way to compete is by having a wealthy owner pumping money in. This is why they want to stop it.

Football is corrupt and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

One of the really odd things about the Chevrolet deal too is that the money to the rags ramps up in the 2014-15 season - in 2014 Chevrolet announced that they would not be selling cars in the UK from 2015. I know there is the Rags global reach and all that ballocks but thats even more of a reason for questions to be asked about that deal. I mean GM HQ will have known the Chevrolet brand was likely to be pulled from the UK yet all this still went through ffs !!!??

As soon as the big boys at Chevrolet found out about this deal they went apeshit and the executive who signed it was immediately fired for exceeding his authority, Chevrolet couldn't get out of the deal but may have re-negotiated a more favourable one. Either way something stinks and you have to wonder if the rag negotiators (i.e. Woodwood) pulled a flanker on Chevrolet by fixing a deal the officers of the company really didn't want.

Let's honest, who in their right mind is going to buy one of those cars?

It won't matter a jot if United sponsor them or not.

Those cars don't sell over here. In fact, they probably don't sell anywhere.

yep, my rag friends cant stop praising and sucking Woodwards cock that how great he is raising their incomes trough the roof...

Last summer/season he was next to Moyes the big stupid shit that only could get them Fellaini.

But to be fair to him he is probably very good in his job behind the scenes when he has to care about sponsors and income and less about making transfers actually happen and dealing with tricky player agents or another club's transfer guru...
