I wonder if they've got another £200m to spend next year? They've got some kids coming through but they could all turn out to be Cleverdinho Mk. 2. When they had a very strong side and baconface in charge they could play kids and they'd look like world beaters, now they'll look like what they are, inexperienced kids without the likes of Keane, Vidic, Scholes etc supporting them.
For central midfield they've got left (3-4 need replacing next year)
Carrick (34 next summer)
Fellaini (crap)
Herrera (injured, may turn out good)
Fletcher (past it, last year of contract)
Anderson (fat and useless)
For defence they have (nothing remotely formidable below)
Rafael (always injured and a red card waiting to happen)
Evans, Jones, Smalling, Rojo (none are CL quality like Vidic, Ferdinand in their prime - i's say their best is equal to John O'Shea/Wes Orange)
Shaw (fat, injured)
No experienced backup LB or RB unless they use one of their CBs
Attacking mids/strikers (from not bad to very good (excluding Young who is shit) - but unless they play a 2-3-5 formation they can't get them on the pitch)
I seriously think, unless they buy at least 3 players before 1st September (defence and CM) they are still going to need to spend £200m again next summer.
It's great ;-)
