Conflicting emotions! I want the rags to lose out just for the humiliation factor.. but then again Lukaku is pretty average so I'd like them to actually get him rather than someone world class

According to Sky, his agent stands to make an extra £10m if he goes to United.

The key word there being EXTRA, i always that agents fees were around 10% and so I am guessing that Chelsea are looking at £7.5 million. I the rags are paying an additional £10 million on to then it is a cost of around £93 million.

Pisses me off because it keeps perpetuating the myth that those twats are billy big bollocks. I wish we would break the world transfer record and piss on their chips.

Right now though it'd be nice if we just fucking signed somebody that we're after! Same old boring shit on the bbc football gossip page, and still nothing close with Sanchez, Walker or Mendy. I was very optimistic after we got Bernardo and Ederson sorted so quickly, but the longer these drag out the more frustrating it becomes, particularly if those wankers at trafford keep the drooling masses entertained and in thrall.

It really is about time we made a statement and slapped the rag bastards back down.
I understand your frustration blue, I really do, but honestly we don't need to make a statement when they're signing lukaku for £75m rising to £100m, that's a statement in itself and I can't stop laughing.

Lukaku is a good striker and a Mourinho signing for sure (I know he sold him). I think he will do well there and is better than Morata.

Huge fee though. Think £43m for B.Silva is going to look like the bargain of the decade after this window is over.

This is the way I see it, they are paying 75 mil for a player they may not particularly want, just so they can get shut of Rooney. No other club would touch him with a barge pole, so they thought " let's say we're letting him go back to his school boy team to finish his career, aren't we dead nice" the press will lap it up as per, no mention of the ridiculous fee as per, everyone's a winner.
£100m. From the Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jul/07/chelsea-romelu-lukaku-offer-match-manchester-united

" The deal will be worth an initial £75m plus a further £15m of easily attainable add-ons linked to achievements and appearances. Rooney, who is notionally valued at around £10m, would also return to Merseyside after a glittering 13-year career at United, swelling the whole value of the deal on the table to nine figures."

I am sure City will end up spending a similar amount to Utd, but on half a team

wonder how many times will the cost of the scums team be mentioned on the telly in the upcoming matches 100m for pogbad 100m for lukaku and both homegrown.

All well and good that and some truths are there but bottom line Everton have fell for it hook line and sinker! Like some one mentioned on here before seeing Rooney now turn into the Rooney of old and score 30 goals this season in some ways be funny as fuck if Lukaku is a total flop.

I think this could be an Andy Carroll moment. He is a decent enough player, but imagine the derision he'll get whenever he touches the ball at an away ground. It's going to be very difficult for him to handle.

I don't see it sadly and think he will continue his goal scoring form as Mourinho will set them up as a very functional team if they get Perisic and Matic as well. Everyone will know their jobs. Not got a hope of winning the league though think we will win it with United in the top 3. Our fire power will be unstoppable.

How does that work then ? Won't the agent get anything if he goes to Chelsea ?
I would have thought so, but Utd are reportedly paying much bigger fees than is usual as a way of getting the player.

£100m!! Come on. It's a joke. Perisic is no better than any player they have got and Matic you can forget. Do you think Chelsea are going to do business with them now? No chance. They are being linked with Dier now

Utd are fools. All they will end up doing is elevating the expectations of their fans to a level that they cannot sustain and Mourinho will be out at the end of the season.

£100m for Lukaku and a celebratory new kit

Unfortunately Wycombe Wanderers' keepers beat them to it . . .

Mourinho is building a very athletic and physically strong team. Especially their front line with Lukaku, Martial, Rashford and potentially Persic. All of them tall and physical players.

Compare that to ours: Jesus, Aguero, Sterling, Sane and potentially Sanchez. Not blessed with much height (other than Sane). Just find it interesting.

We have a much more talented bunch though. Which hopefully Pep will make count in our derbies.

Funny how the phrase "buying the title", which was applied to us so often, has not been mentioned in connection with Rags.

Doesn't matter how big and physically strong they will be because they won't get near the fucking ball because we will pass it round them.
No matter how high you pile shit it's still shit.
