Rags to protest that CR37 hasn't scored in the last 3 PL games. They'll demand the refs give them 3 penalties per game until he hits the 30 goals a season tally..or else

If the rumours are true that Ole isn't taking training is it any wonder they don't know what they're doing?
Ha, I hadn't seen that rumour but I've watched 3 of their full games this season and it wouldn't surprise me at all. It's really hard to express how poor they are as a team.

After eight games last season, they were in 14th place on 9pts with a +1 goal difference.
After eight games this season, they are in 6th place on 14pts with a +6 goal difference.
It takes a special kind of stupid to protest when you have actually improved.
The difference being up until the weekend this season they have been given the easiest of starts

They actually have no improved , they just played weak teams so far this season. But I agree that protesting over the fact that things arent going well when your club invested 127 mil just this summer is indeed quite retarded

I'd agree with a lot of this, but given how poorly they play as a team it's almost impossible to even fairly judge individual players. Pogba in a 3 with good coaching and a system is entirely different to Pogba at United (see Juve or France). I suspect on a purely technical level there isn't actually much that separates Stones and Maguire, but the former looks like he is working hard, still learning and still improving where Maguire looks like his best years are behind him. Some of that is down to the player, but some of that is down to manager, coaches, players around them, facilities and everything else.

I think even with the best manager, though, their overall squad is really confusing and unbalanced and haven't really been signed with a coherent plan. They're playing a 4-2-3-1 which is giving up the whole of the midfield, and is a piece of piss to defend against, in order to squeeze Pogba, Ronaldo and Fernandes into the team.
I'm not sure I agree with your assessment that Stones and Maguire are on a similar level. Here are some of Maguire's best moments - from this season alone!

Edit - it's been taken down, but it shows mistake after mistake by Maguire. More mistakes just this season than Stones has made whilst he's been playing for us.
