This is what football is about for the fans of most clubs. It seems it's only the entitled clubs that think 'everyone' will turn away from football if one club dominates (unless it's their club of course)

Yes exactly.

Only 24 clubs have won the first division in 133 years out of 147 to have played in the football league.

There’s only been 1 new winner since 1978.

This piece of sychophantic nonsense just appeared on the BBC match feed for the United game. I mean, what's this got to do with anything? I bet the whole thing was staged.

OldschoolWanc claiming that if City’s dominance continues for the rest of the decade it will turn 99% of fans off from watching the sport. So what the brain dead **** is saying is that United’s attendances at Old Trafford are going to drop to less than a thousand!
Well they do have the support of 140% of the world's footballing watching population don't you know.

By the way. Get the fuck in Everton.

Is that another corner turned?

What were Everton doing, score a goal & then play like a team playing at our pad when 0-0, deep as fuck.

Lampard should be out of the door with those tactics.
Mourinho's old tactics (tbf he's reinvented himself a little bit) outdated and out of their time.

Oh that is gold. Lap it up. Probably didn’t think like this when they were outbidding everyone and smashing transfer records.

Here is the OP:

There is an inevitability about City now that is like watching paint dry.
Haaland is not just the cherry on top of the most expensive cake in history. He’s more like a Teflon cow catcher on the front of a bullet train.
They have a squad that ensures any injuries are covered.
They have 100 million pound players on the bench.
With what feels like a bottomless pit of funds, when will it end?
There are no limits applied to City.
It’s like flicking through a Panini album where all the stickers have been bought. It’s there, it looks impressive but where is the joy? Where is the excitement?
Baldy is just a good engineer that has been given all the correct parts to build a machine. Running on limitless grade A fuel.
The Harlem Globetrotters were a joke basketball team. I see no difference in City.
Even the best racehorses are given handicaps.
What is the point?
The funny thing about all those posts is that if you tried to suggest this City team was better than the united team that amassed 79 points in 1999, they’d scoff at the suggestion.

I used to think Everton was always a tough place to come away from with a win. Not this season. After watching United struggle against them, I'm sure we'll be taking an easy six points from them this season.

I’ve not watched loads of football other than City for a while but watched the 2 later games yesterday
I was shocked at how poor Everton’s passing was especially first half, they just couldn’t keep the ball
Might be because I’ve been watching City then watched Arsenal v Liverpool but yeah they looked awful

I think Everton have found they kept the ball better when they've deprived their own players of the ball ;-)

Everton were dire. There was an occasion near the end when they were pushing for an equaliser. (I used the term 'pushing for' in its loosest possible context). They had two players near each other on the left wing, and the one without the ball was not showing to receive a pass. Every other attacker and midfielder just waited in the penalty area for a cross, which astonishingly, United couldn't prevent.

I just thought any half-competent team would have given the wide player a few more build up options. If this is Lampard's level of coaching, then there's not much hope for him other than the England job or the Phil Neville coaching trajectory.

I realise this is the United thread, so to avoid being too far off topic, they were dreadful also.
