Let them have the shield we haven’t done to bad the last few times we lost the curtain raiser to the season coming,it also gets them and the media giddy as fuck ..

Bragging rights with lads in work is important in August but I always find May is a far better time to have those rights.

Yes it was a great opportunity for Arsenal's youngsters to play against a mid-table Premier League side.

I couldn't give a toss about the shield myself, it's a friendly and nothing more, we never win it because we treat it as such but you know the rags and media will go into overdrive to hype it up when they best us. Even arsenal fans last season spent 6 months going on about how they beat us in the shield (on penalties) as some kind of proof they can compete with us.

That's fine. Love the shield won the league seems to be our motto. I'll take that of it gives the cunts even a slither of hope they're going to challenge

I'm all for rag bashing but that's just not true. Dalot, shaw, martinez, Fernandes, mainoo, garnacho are all in united best 11 and none of those started so thats at least half of their best 11 missing.

You both had a 1st team squad plus 2 kids start, you also had a backup keeper play. United had more kids on in the second half, arsenal used more of the 1st team, it wasn't a mismatch by amy means, It was a comparatively even use of the 2 squads with arsenal using more of their 1st team squad.
