Yeah on the whole it is a revolting law, however DC has felony murder and that cop wasn't just killed by 1 person caving his head in with a fire extinguisher. He was attacked by a mob.

Plus I think the principle of joint enterprise from the English common law also applies in much US law. Not sure about DC though.

This is actually a very fair point — we are taking slugs at each other and have different points of view (as I do with @Rascal) but he’s not being personal (I’m more guilty of that than he) and he explains where he’s coming from. The true shit-stirrers who have caused real problems in the past are either absent entirely or have toned their perspectives down (from both sides of the aisle) more or less.

Or are banned perhaps?

Being the insomniac that I am I read some pretty unsavoury stuff in the other thread last night/early morning that I stayed out of but found completely absent, obviously deleted today.

I was ready to take a break from this place having read some of stuff, but both the perpetrator and the content seem to be gone.

I couldn’t do a mods job. Give them credit for a tough job.

Impeach Ric! Ban his twitter! It's seditious propoganda from start to finish. There are blatant attempts to influence the outcome of otherwise democratic MOTM votes.

Furthermore, I suspect the Daily Mail are paying him to promote their articles. Dozens of them quoted on the time line. And the strapline is a DM quote as well! Very suss.

I am quite surprised that a light-hearted joke and short exchange between me and @Ric — really intended as a gentle reminder that this could be a better thread than previous ones, after reading through all of the current pages (and some related reports and already removed posts) and seeing some exchanges that were definitely headed toward the high toxicity variety — has lead to a bit of a ‘bash the janitors’ discussion.

I really hope they get what they deserve, but I just get a niggling feeling there is going to be some shady backroom deal the the Dem's get suckered into making because Republican's 'promise it'll never happen again' 'We're really sorry' Please don't....' .
