Valencia in for Negredo?

Think his departure has more to do with domestic issues, rather than footballing ones, if the rumours are to be believed. Simply Think the club are just trying to do the right thing by the lad on a personal level.

Still leaves us in dead schtuck on the pitch though :-(

2 players for every position is what Pellegrini stated how can will let Negredo go without replacing him?

We have two out and out strikers in Dzeko and Aguero .. then we have several players who can play as a second strikers.

Kelechi Ihenacho will soon sign a contract as well.

If there's an area we need to strenghten .. it is the central areas where we are a defensive midfielder short.

Agreed. We really only have Fernando and Fernanddinho after Yaya, too light especially if we are considering Playing Yaya in the hole. Either a CM/DM or an AM/LW for me to replace negredo
Milner can play CM/DM too if short.

Why does it feel like we are only reacting to this now?

The news of his homesickness started during the World Cup

then we are short in the wide areas...I am simply religiously following the 2 players/position rule/approach of our management

Yeah your right lets just do things your way and be a charity and forget about winning trophies and focus on all our players being super happy and accommodating their every need even if that means leaving us short up front with 2 already injury prone strikers. Champions league title here we come.

Nope I rather have a player who is fully focused thanks.

So we should get rid of Yaya as well then?
Will it affect his performances? If so, yes.

Do you think it's sensible to keep £20m+ assets earning £100k+ a week if they are mentally unfit to play at the top level? Should we just tell them to man up?

The only failing here seems to be not bringing in an adequate replacement. Maybe we thought we could get Falcao, or maybe there had been no real interest in Negredo until the last few days

If they really would pay over 20m pouds for him than sell him. For 10-12m no way, but if we get back everything we paid for him than sell him. He wants to leave, while winning back his form wont happen unless he is played a lot to have time to find his form. Thats not case if Agüero, Jovetic, Dzeko all around him waiting for playing time too.

Get a cheaper 4th option striker on loan maybe. Surely there are strikers out there waiting for loans.

Selling a 4th striker and get a number one striker like Falcao would have been mad. You cant rotate that just if you risk Jovetic/Dzeko will feel the same way like Negredo now..

No one wants to be out of CL squad as well. So an English 4th striker is probably on the cards.
