So according to Walton, the point of VAR is to correct obvious errors not get the decision right. Surely if the decision is wrong then it is an obvious error?????????????

Exactly. Its complete bull$hit. An obvious error to one person, is not to another. Totally ambiguous and guess which side always ends up benefitting from this.

Blame the ref and VAR, yes but the other player going down like he has been pole axed didnt help.
I dont class myself as a hard man but compared to a lot of footballers I'm well ard !!

The people that are still blaming VAR, particularly the people in the media like spitty Jay, are as much as a worry as the incompetence of the officials. Without VAR you can give that red and miss that it clearly wasn't intentional, var solves that shows you it was nothing and yet the officials still manage to get it wrong. I said when var was first brought in, at the very least it's going to show just how inept these refs are and its doing that in abundance. Total overhaul of refs are needed, get them retrained, integrate var from the start of their training, teach them to see the actual game and not just look for technicalities and most of all, make them accountable for their ridiculous decisions.

really do not see the point of VAR , it still comes down to human error , the plonkers at Stockley Park still make mistakes , it just moves the decision making away from the officials for no reason. Would rather suck up a shite decision by the referee or linesman in a live game than have to wait a couple of minutes for a couple of clowns and their squiggly lines deciding the outcome of a football match

Where was the offside lines and wtf are they doing giving pens for dives , it is a contact sport , enough to bring you down or nothing , thought it would sort the cheating out
Because its Anfield, Its Livarpool, its Salah, its Olivar, its against us and because they don't fucking care who knows what game they are playing any longer.
They cant even be arsed to show us what's offside and what isn't at the shithole.
Any match you watch has some clown drawing lines as the offside is forensically examined, unless City are playing liarpool. Souness, the liarpool pundit said Salah dived... No one else did. I thought var was meant to stop cheating. The words corrupt and cheating spring to mind

They didnt take much time over Stones's goal , he was actually onside , it was Dias slightly in front disgraceful from Sky if that had been Dippers in that situation they would have been a ten minutes delay and squiggly lines bent conveniently to allow a Dipper goal
The next 2 days would have been filled with the injustice of it all as well.
Sky are in league with the Var mob. Sky cannot show re runs when var want to rule it out as it would make the decision look stupid. Corruption at its finest, fortunately we could beat them without it

Thankfully with the way both teams played today, VAR was made redundant. We can take positives from that, and we only need to concentrate on our game and the rest should take care of itself.

Funny how you never see a var review /replay at anfield or the swamp
Sky/BT have full real time access to the conversations between officials and VAR and as you rightly say, they are fully involved in the illusions being created and the cover up jobs needed.
