Problem is it was the linesman who called offside, without VAR Liverpool would've still been denied a legitimate goal.

I'd be livid if it was against us, it will undoubtedly be levelled up when they do play us. It just goes to show how pointless the whole thing is though, it's all the clubs own fault for not voting in the automated system. The refs in this country are really quite poor.

Never thought I’d say it but got worse than when Mike Riley was in charge
Say what you like about Dean but he wasn’t the publicity whore that Webb is He must have an apology ready for every week
Needs a total shake up with a qualified administrator put in place don’t need to be an ex ref The whole PGMOL Is unfit for purpose and if this continues the it must become untenable

I feel like blaming the system lets the real idiots off the hook. VAR is there for replays and the replays showed the goal was clearly onside.

A normal human sees that and awards the goal and this results in the system correcting the linesman’s incorrect flag.

You could genuinely see it was onside from a single cross field replay. These people need to be made more responsible for these shocking errors.

I’m not a fan of VAR but it has been effective in the hands of the competent, so I’d get rid of PiGMOL first
