One job these useless twats have, one job..

They have all the camera angles to view, too unless the game is at Anfield. obviously..

I could see immediately watching at home that Diaz was onside.

These idiots are in charge of our National sport, a multi billion pound industry..

Never mind suspending them for the next game, they should be sacked with immediate effect, not given the benefit of doubt and a comforting arm on the shoulder.

It's not the first time Darren England has fcuked up..

Why couldn't they stop the game and award the goal?, it's beyond farcical..

Penalties have been awarded long after the offence has taken place and the game has continued in play..

Surely they didn't think they would get away with not giving the goal..

It's bollocks VAR saying they were under the impression that they had awarded the goal and had not realised by saying "give it" it would be taken by the on field ref as go with the original offside decision..

That explanation stinks of damage limitation and back peddling to fcuk to get them out of the hole they had dug for themselves due to the lot of them not doing their jobs.

Watch the monitors, follow the game and do what you are paid to do you ****'s, your fkin jobs..

I can't stand the dippers and boy have they benefited from dodgy VAR calls in the past but they were well fcuked over at the weekend (good)..

VAR in this country is a fkin shambles and has yet again managed to lose yet more respect from the footballing public..
Reading the transcript the whole procedure seems completely over complicated. If us regular fans can see what happened, God knows why these pillocks (with multiple camera angles) can’t.

Having just listened to it, it's just a simple case of somebody having a complete brainfart. Zero conspiracy and can't be any claim of them being corrupt.

Obviously it shouldn't happen but we've all done something just as daft before. The worst part about it is the fact that the rules prevents them from correcting their own mistake because a few seconds of play has happened once they quickly realise they fucked up.

How can the system that is there to clear up any ambiguity be found so wanting?

We all want the right result, PGMOL aren’t delivering that.

Reckon those discussions happen every single match and certainly after every close / subjective decision during a game

We saw it with our game at the Swamp last year.

Trouble is, the Red Dippers take it too far as they do with everything else.

VAR gets more right than wrong and we ain't going back.

TV has made VAR necessary, remember when you were at a game and felt robbed but no one else believed you as they hadn't seen the incidents.

After listening to the audio, this just proves that the referee should give a clear "decision" in whether it's a goal or not to establish for the crowd (and the VAR room as they apparently need it too) where to start the process from.

In rugby, the ref clearly gives his decision to the video referee who then reviews the evidence and checks if it can be overturned. That's all you have to do.

I dont understand how every other sport that is more complicated than football manages to efficiently use video refereeing whereas football constantly trips over its own feet because its ran by archaic morons who are allergic to change or following from other sports.

Good point but they’ll amend that in their rules so as if it did happen again, although they did for the rags pen against Brighton a few years back game over pen awarded and the rest is cheating..

Video assistants work perfectly well in rugby union, rugby league and cricket because the supporters can see and hear the dialogue between the officials on the pitch and those viewing the monitors. Everybody knows what
is being looked at and why. Until the football authorities start to do the same we will continue to stumble from crisis to crisis.
Exactly

Their information communication is all wrong. Far too complicated. VAR should tell the referee to await further instruction. Then once VAR delivers his verdict he should ask for a repeat back and then there is clarity in the instruction that should be carried out before any play restarts. Quite simple really.
The whole shebang is far too complicated, and the numbet of people it now takes to ref a match is just fucking crazy.

I’m actually going to stick up for them (a bit). It’s an honest mistake, a mistake they shouldn’t make but they have. Hopefully they all learn from this, I’m pro VAR so I want it to improve.

Fuck the scouse cunts anyway.

I'm not particularly pro-VAR but you are right. This was just a fuck-up and the escalation around it is ridiculous.

It's also easy to fix so it never happens again. "Can you confirm the offside?" 15 seconds later "No offside, allow the goal". "Any other reason why I can't allow the goal?" 5 seconds later. "No, allow the goal". Job done. Crystal clear.

And for the love of God, less of the "mate", "mate", "mate". It's unnecessary chatter and it's unprofessional. The rest seemed OK to me in a pretty time-pressured environment.

All stadiums should have a big screen to communicate to the fans why these decisions are made.

Looking at you you rags and dippers.

I don't think it is really. It's a fuck up of massive proportions and basically sums up why they've been so resistant to having this stuff publicly available. I'm glad Liverpool made a fuss to be honest. I don't like the fact that we're only at this stage because it's Liverpool rather than Wolves or Burnley, but it's still good that we're seeing what all of us knew - there's nothing wrong with VAR, just the morons in charge of it. You've got to wonder how many other incidents like this there are that we haven't heard. I'd love to hear the audio from that Rashford non-offside the other season. Hopefully this leads to some sort of transparency, starting with the publication of every recording in full and access to broadcasters to play the conversations so fans can hear what they're talking about as they make decisions.

Of course it's worth mentioning that if VAR didn't exist, the goal would have been ruled offside anyway.

Of course they fucking wouldn't, but the PiGMOL caved because they knew full well those feral cunts were never going to let it go.
Whilst it was a bad mistake, it was a c*nts trick to hang out the VAR team, they are now open to abuse and death threats from the horrible sipping c*nts.

What I want explaining now is how the mystery "Oli" gets involved. BBC say he is Oli Kohout - the VAR Hub operations manager, who was in a different room to the VAR team. I thought we'd been assured that there was no outside involvement in the VAR process? Another lie exposed.
