Vested and Prejudicial Interests on Football Governing Bodies?

Just a small point but in UK we get paid in £ not $

So it’s £2,000,000 for gill plus a share in an outrageously generous long term incentive

As is said - follow the money !!!

Yes mate typo, I’m from Manchester but no pound sign.

Completely agree with the follow the money, if something doesn’t look right trace it back from the beneficiary to the decision maker & you’ll get everyone in between.

Woodward when asked about CITY and FFP:

"I'm not going to comment on City or any other clubs. What I will say is I go to a lot of UEFA meetings (presumably on occasions with David Gill, Mr Manchester United - see page 5 in this thread for his UEFA roles) and I see a strong commitment to ensure that FFP continues to deliver the benefits that it clearly has in the industry."

Woodward has recently appointed Neil Ashton, formerly sports writer in The Sun, as his PR Adviser.

25/02/2020 - it is reported that Manchester United's net debt rises £73.6m to £391.3m in three months.

FFP was originally intended to tackle debt. Then it was changed. Debt is now ok. Investment is questionable.

Why would this happen?

Who would have brought this change about?

What were the reasons?

Who would benefit?

Who would be penalised?

Have you got a spare couple of days.

How's this as a teaser. The then head of the SFA Jim the **** Farry, had to resign his post after it was proved he held up the transfer of Jorge Caddette to us to help Rangers.

If anybody can beat that I will buy you a pint.

Isn't some of this debt increase a bit of smoke and mirrors? They just bought a 40+M player, and it may be quite standard that debt increases in the three months in question each year - there are no season ticket sales, and no big CL matches in the period to bring in cash.

THE MONEY CLUB

its all about money and the money and merry go round of 5 or 6 so called elite clubs that have to keep it in house because it only takes one club (manchester city) to destroy them, why does it always have to be one of the big so called elite teams in the finals ? and when was the last final without one of them in it ?

i have said it many times you don't win the champions league you get hand picked to hold the trophy up and grease the hands of the devil UEFA, from the first day of the takeover at manchester city there was a rumble in england, united liverpool chelsea arsenal knew there days are numbered and they all lived in hope the new owners was fake sheikh and walk away leaving manchester city in a bigger mess than they first bought them, but the rumble turned to a tsunami in signing tevez and welcome to manchester poster put down the marker and from that moment on they have been after us both in england and in europe

the biggest fear by them is manchester city have more money than all of them put together ? and if they wanted to call the shots in football and build a new league around uefa and the premier league

i think the rest would jump and come and play ball, its not only manchester city sick of the so called 5 or 6 elite clubs with there in house politics, its the rest of the 100s of teams getting bum deals and cheated every week and picking up the crumbs left over from the pie ?

do i think football is dead YES, can it be fixed by a revolution YES, have somebody like manchester city got the money and the bollocks to take over YES, and the final question is would you let them 5 or 6 so called elite clubs in NO

Investigatory Chamber established by UEFA and Members Appointed by UEFA - What was the role of Liverpool`s Former CEO?

According to The Telegraph -

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/05/14/manchester-city-claim-have-comprehensive-proof-allegations-financial/

in an article of 14 May, 2019 by Sam Wallace, chief football write and Tom Morgan, sports news correspondent, " Rick Parry
(Chief Executive at Liverpool from 1998 to 2009 and strong associate of Liverpool FC) , declined to comment when asked if he was one of the investigatory chamber members on the City case, or whether he considered there to be any conflict of interest that might lead to him recusing himself."

"City said in a statement that the suggestion those involved in the investigatory process, overseen by Yves Leterme,, had already found the club guilty of breaking financial fair play regulations was “extremely concerning”.

This was also covered in The Mirror - https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/former-liverpool-chief-board-decides-15968600 among other publications.

There are eight members of the Uefa investigatory chamber of the semi-autonomous club financial control body, which oversees the monitoring of, among other things, Financial Fair Play.

What was the role of Rick Parry before he left UEFA?
