Still can't believe we lost this, hope the away hoodoo is sorted out quick, Wednesday can't come soon enough.

Trouble is that , unlike today , we'll be playing a good team then ...

if not a great one !
Yeh, well the bad teams seem to be the ones we struggle against. It either must be that players can't handle pressure away from home or arrogance, infuriating if it is the latter, as we should have learned our lesson by now!

We've only played poor teams so far. It will be interesting midweek to see how we do against quality opposition..

We defend against Bayern the way we did in that 2nd half today and they'll crucify us ...... todays defeat can't have done much for our confidence.

They don't seem to have hit the same heights as last season under their new manager either and we're a different best at home.

On the other hand, if we play like we did vs. United...

we are piss poor vs smaller teams. the players like to play the big games though. there's a big problem with the squad's mentality. a solution must be found.

the players i'd get rid of and replace are milner, dzeko, rodwell and garcia . we should have no time for players who sometimes play well and sometimes play like shit or players who need baby sitting.

Utter complacency. Followed by uncontrolled panic (when we concede a suprise goal we often seem to concede another soon after) Not helped by a manager who removes your most important player as soon as you go ahead.

When we outplay a team and get a good outcome early we run away with it (newc, the derby).

When we outplay a team and dont capitalise - we throw it away spectacularly.

The ups and downs of City fans - from ecstasy to gloom.

Villa's tactics totally outsmarted us - they lulled us into a sense of complacency with the ineptitude and our defence just switched off as they had so little to do. But the dumb bugger with the red and yellow flag was hopeless making many wrong calls which seemed to favour the home team - their first goal.

But our defending was shocking. Needless foul in a very dangerous position (result second goal). Centre backs asleep when their goalie actually managed to kick the ball down the middle of the pitch instead of his usual touch finding punts - third goal.

Villa players and fans will wake up shortly and realise they didn't dream the result - it actually happened. Play crap and still get the points - only City can be so benevolent.

But what really annoys me is that we could have put an even bigger gap between us and the rags.

Oh well, that's life for a City fan.

I personally didn't think the pairing of Dzeko and Negredo didn't work very well. Thoughts??

Not much joy on the horizon for any of their opposition if they do.

The talk about focusing on CL at the expense of the premier league makes little sense to me and more like a veiled excuse for our sub standard results in the league to date.

The best way to prepare for Bayern would have been to win at Villa.

Watched the game again and still feel absolutely gutted. To lose like that when you've completely bossed the match is extremely painful.

Surprisingly though with the way we played I'm really confident facing Bayern. We'll get them IMO.

What the team and coaching staff need to do is sit down together and pinpoint exactly what needs to be done to address our away form. Brutal honesty is required here. Whether that entails changes to preparation, game tactics, etc I don't know, but something must be changed because it isn't working.

It's all that Mancini's fault!
Don't you lot understand FFS!?
He turns up at the Etihad looking all smooth and suave like a typical Italian - just who does he think he is - eh?
He immediately turns a shambolic defense into a watertight cohesive unit. Would you know it we then have the best defensive record in the Premier League for 3 seasons running! What a fluke eh? He's just lucky!

Then he gets even luckier - typical Italian! He somehow gets us full qualification into the Champions League - not a 4th place play off position, oh no, it has to be straight forward qualification doesn't it? Well it would have to be with him wouldn't it? Then he goes and flukes our first trophy for 34 years - just how lucky can one man get I ask?
Well... Then what does he go and do? His team systematically destroy the Rags 1-6 at the Swamp. Jammy bugger eh?

The lucky bugger then only goes and wins us the league title with the last kick of the game whilst the Rags were just starting their celebrations for winning it at Sunderland... Now that is just a lucky man living in lucksville on a lucky day wasn't it?!

But this man's luck couldn't last now could it? Of course not! You see on occasions he shouted at a few of the players because they we're lazy bastards! This Mancini character got annoyed if they didn't give 100% week in and week out - just who the fuck did this guy think he was ? The Manager? Well we couldn't have that now could we? The poor precious fragile souls actually having a bollocking when they needed one or deserved one -.oh goodness me no! So all of our International superstars complained about this Italian chap who wouldn't take any crap off anybody and actually told them a few home truths on occasions - and it came to pass he was sacked and went back to Italy as the most successful Manager of the club since the late great Joe Mercer- the lucky bugger!

The sensitive souls that our international superstars are we're just so happy at that decision! But you see... It takes time for these precious artists to get over being shouted at. It takes a lot of time...

So the defeat at Cardiff, the lucky away draw at Stoke and the embarrassing defeat at Villa Park is all Mancini's fault! If he hadn't had shouted at them and upset them then everything would have been just fine.
Big bad old Italian Mancini!
It's all his fault - nobody else. It can't possibly be the players fault can it? No! The new managers fault? No! So logic dictates it had to be all down to Mancini.
Now everybody is happy again. All friends, all smiles and no shouting!
And everybody lived happily ever after in the land of holistic People...

Utterly Superb and Spot on to boot!

To be honest forget the defeats at Cardiff and Villa, as a club we should be more worried about bleeding to death from that gunshot wound to the foot courtesy of the Spanish Assassins!

I'm a great believer in what come around goes around and I rather suspect certain characters will soon pay heavily for the part they played in the events of last May.

Got to laugh at the 'pundits' and commentator on motd excusing the poor off side decision...... suddenly being 'just off' seems acceptable.......

No worries here,we dominated Villa playing some great football,a freak of a result,we move on.

a freak of a result, we havnt won away yet?? and couldn't score a goal in open play against a team that must have been one of the worst ive ever seen in the epl.

We didn't deserve anything against Cardiff and we were lucky against Stoke.
Today we were by far the best team, our performance for 90% of the game was superb, team spirit, fluidity and application all there.......... on another day we put 5 or 6 past them.

They scored from isolated chances coupled with our daft defending and bad luck, yep,a freak.

Some of the mouthbreathers on here would be having a fit if Mancini had been in charge for some of the recent farcical performances but as its 'Pellers' its just a bit of bad luck.
