I think he knows more than anyone that a few momentary lapses of concentration,loose passing,mis-timed tackles etc have almost cost the team valuable points this season. We got away with it today points wise, though Milner ended up a victim. I wouldn’t apportion blame to any player, in Particular,Im just hoping they all settle down(The Defence)sooner rather than later.

I bet if it was Lescott, who had made such a mistake, there would be many on here ready to slaughter him!

THIS. Even WC players who play for WC national teams get a lot of stick here, he shouldn't be spared

I guess he'll be alright. I'm sure with his level of professionalism, he can return to his superhuman form again.

And besides, other captains like Horseface Ferdinand and John Terry did worse before.

Just shows how good Kompany is - when his form slightly dips the defense looks a shambles. Mainly because Lescott isnt good enough, never was, and never will be..............................truly dreadful again yesterday and baled out by his team mates over and over again, and some abysmal finishing by WBA - positioning at times was a joke. 'Distribution' , just like his 'pace' is non existent. Total liability - at least im brave enough to say so and is an honest assessment.

Unfortunately because we didnt go all out to buy a world class CB (as I kept on saying here that we should as a priority) this will cost us on big games later in the Season.
