How do people fine their Broadband?

We've just had their full fibre installed in our street (direct to house or something?) The salesmen are doing the rounds with their "new area offers"

Been offered 250meg broadband with an 02 sim-card (unlimited calls & txt 10gb data) for £25pm - I have no need for the SIM but the package has to come with it otherwise it's more expensive.

The best any standard broadband provider can offer in my area is 50mb. I was wanting to hold out for 3's 5g to be installed but they can't give me a date!
I live in a rural setting and our broadband is powered by field mice twitching their cute little noses and lubricated by the tears of squirrels.

It is so bad I can’t take advantage of fire sticks or whatever the fuck they are called. So I have to pay Sky a small fortune because my broadband is so poor.

I try not to get too upset about it, but I can’t seem to manage it.

Anyone else having picture issues with these fucking arseholes ?

Scrambling on almost all channels last few days, only for a few seconds like, but annoying all the same,it's that often.

Twats cut off my 87 year old dementia suffering mother in law as she didn’t respond to a letter asking her to upgrade - she was paying 50 odd quid for basic tv and phone line rental, wanted to charge £70+ per month to continue her service with a new tv box. Sacked em right off (though I personally have them for internet, but soon as there’s a better alternative fuck em) shit attitude tho when my missus complained - it was all in the letters she probably burned before opening, zero compassion, no help offered

Just had a pleasant surprise. Our contract runs out next month after we got a 3 month roll over and so I thought I'd log on to my account to check the date.

Up comes an existing members deal page, very flexible to pick and choose my package, and I have essentially the same package as previously , most of the TV channels except sky sports and cinema, plus a boost to 350mb for £60 per month for 18 months.

Have virgin changed their renewals strategy? If so, I much prefer it. No haggling, no "I'll just check with the boss", and I could renew or alter my contract in seconds and have it sorted.

They are trying to simplify alot of stuff, however they are getting rid of 2000 members of staff in the UK by the end of the year in favour of automation and AI.

Ah, sounds familiar. I made a quip to my boss last week about being replaced by AI and was read a very starched and obviously pre-prepared "it's not our intention to..." style memo.

Unfortunately I'd just been on a project call that very morning where we were presented with how AI can replace humans for many tasks in our business and is already adapting and running in the background just waiting to be switched on. All they need is us humans to teach it everything we know, so grab a spade an dig your grave!

every single year they try to up my price by over the inflation value and every time they backdown. They claim it's rpi +3.9% or whatever but they don't tell you it's on the package cost not the cost you are paying each month. this is taking the piss for me. You could be paying £40 a month on a contract but the way they phrase the costs is via a discount of £20 on a £60 package. This means they think they can get away with upping your price by £60*(rpi+3.9%) every year, cheeky fuckers. Next time I'll be asking them to rephrase their contract and I'll be recording everything they say as proof.

The payrise averaging 8.75% which was meant for April was deferred till August. Just happens to be that 700 members of staff are all leaving on Friday the 28th and don't get that payrise on their redundancy package. Place is going downhill rapidly.
