Virgin

was having trouble with my bt broadband for the last couple of years, speed dropped to fuck all every night between 8 and 10 so couldn't stream any night matches then about a month ago noticed i had 5g on my mobile at home (with 3 ) so went on the website and ordered their 5g hub, £20 month and first 6 months half price.
speeds have been unbelievable, up to 700mbps with lowest about 400.
was able to sack bt because i'd had an ongoing fault, you have to have an unresolved fault for a month to get rid without paying a penalty. tried it with a vpn and speed drops to about 150 but thats still plenty for live streaming

They wanted to pit my package up from £73/month (200gb band, sky sports, weekend calls and maxit tv) to over £120.
Long story short, I rang, then used WhatsApp to cancel and ended up with 1gb bband, all sports and movies, all phone calls, Netflix, and another box for £59/month, albeit wi5 a clause that future contract rises won’t lead to automatic right to cancel within the 18 months.
Happy with that but I had to argue (respectfully and with some good humour) for two days. Basically they have treated me as a brand new customer on the ultimate volt package and discounted that by £1 and agreed that I didn’t need to take the o2 sim (which would’ve been £25/month).

Network completely down, thousands cannot use phones, internet or tv services, website unavailable and they are not updating on social media

they really as not customer friendly

I find Virgin a bit pricey for a basic phone, TV and broadband package but their reliability is brilliant. I've been with them for over 20 years (since the old NTL World days) and have rarely been without without coverage.

Probably filing for bankruptcy like his outlandishly wasteful virgin space travel company. The cunts ego knows no bounds. Is he still involved in virgin media or did he sell it off?

Been down for me for the past 2 hours, just started working again now. Just as I'd decided to step out the door and hear to the office for the day. Still want £15 a month more from me from May too... Was planning to call them today but will leave it a day as sounds like it is down for thousands currently.

This morning was something very widespread - something to do with the network that Virginmedia use, rather than a Virginmedia problem per se. Apparently affected quite a lot across Europe.
