So the rags would turf there own fans out to please another club no they would not.
what i do expect is the club to put it's own fans first not fuck them about.

The rags (unfortunately) would sell out thus preventing any poles from getting tickets en masse so the situation woudl not arise. It's our half full stadium from the part timers that's the problem.

only because the rags make them buy a ticket !!!!!!!!!!!

Well 50 odd thousand of them yes but they buy their seasoncard on that understanding. They still manage to sell out the other 10-15,000.

If City introduced that scheme based on our drop off in gates then 15,000 - 20,000 blues wouldn't renew !

They do it for most FA Cup or League Cup ties, just like City do in the south stand. Admittedly they don't usually do it after they sell you the ticket, but purely for safety reasons it makes sense, having lots of away fans outside, or in the wrong sections is asking for trouble.

Has this ever happened at Old Trafford - do you know this for a fact?

What do you expect them to do - if ONE person got hit by a non-blue there would be uproar about the slack organisation by the club and the police for allowing a mixture of fans. This club has a bad reputation I gather, so everyone's safety is being put first. I would happily move if the club and police thought that there was sufficient justification to ask me to. This isn't a decision that has been taken lightly - a lot of messing about for the club relocating supporters and quite a bit of lost revenue.

The club are selling tickets to English registered buyers - there isn't a tick box asking if you are a City fan or an away fan buying tickets designated for home fans only!

This has caught everyone out - have a look at some previous guesses about attendance to this match - around 20-25k at very best was suggested I seem to remember.

Stop slagging the club off - what do you suggest they do instead? Leave the fans mixed? Refuse entry to anyone who sounds Polish? Ask us to take our passports? Make people answer three random MCFC related questions which they have to answer correctly in order to get in. Offer them some spiced dried sausage that is 95% white fat and see if they turn their noses up - then they get in?

Get real moaners!

And it's their not there.

To please another club?
Are you for real?
The club has put its fans safety first - at their own expense and involving a lot of lost revenue, administration and time. What else could they do? Please tell us what you suggest the club should do now?
They have admitted they were caught out by demand from Polish supporters and have offered a FREE ticket as way of compensation to the people affected. If those people can't accept the clubs apology and offer - fair enough - refuse the ticket and don't go as way of a protest. Or wear a green and gold scarf as way of showing their disgust at the clubs way of going about things.

I'm surprised they even offered the upper tiers for this game.

So go - enlighten us with your foolproof plan that will ensure that everyone who is going to the game is happy.

You are saying that united put their fans before money? They didn't even put the families of dead employees before money! Really united - fans before money - are you serious or just being a WUM?

Further to your post stating that last weeks stewards brief telling of the request for additional tickets above the 3,500 already allocated was 'a load of shite' - care to apologise to gellyfish1967?

tell me where i mention money oh i don't but i can now.
thank you city for two free tickets to sell to two pole's @ work should get £60 thats a night in the pub to watch the match.

okay I'm not saying this is a bad idea - I was a North Stander moved to East Stand Level 1 this year and it cost me £50 to make a move I didn't want to make - however due to bad planning by the club (again) Level 3ers are being moved, however being well compensated and it should be just for one game - My worry is how do we recognize all these Polish fans to move them to the 3rd tier. I would think there are many Polish people attending the game who may have applied for tickets using 'British' sounding names so they wouldn't get a knock back, in addition I'm sure there are City fans with Eastern European names who may be moved into the level 3 'corrals' against their will..... Okay just another cock up!

And there speaks a true fan - what would the club do without people like you?

You watching the City game or going to watch a repeat of the club you do actually stick up for, united?

-- Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:07 pm --

Aren't people getting texts or emails about this? Obvioulsy people with a few loyalty points or seasoncards are genuine City fans - perhaps they're asking the newly registered fans if they want to go with into the official away fan section? I'm sure that pretty much everyone who wasn't there to support City would prefer to be in the away sections? I'd guess the police and stewards will be keeping an eye out for any potential trouble in the City sections and moving the non Blues into the other sections.

I remember a few year's back when we played Lokeren they where going to give us about 400 ticket's, came to city first and said how brilliant our fan's treated them.Built a temporary stand to fit 4000 in.It's nice to be nice.

And then they let an extra 3000 in who didn't bother getting a ticket, it was 2 to a seat in there (apart from near me where the floor had a huge hole in it). Great day out that was.
