Watched all 4 episodes of season 5 last night. Awsome as always. Can't wait to see who daryl has with him.. thrilling, gripping stuff. Best show I've watched after GOT, and I was a huge breaking bad fan
Norman Reedus has come out (no pun intended) and rubbished these claims, saying he would have no problem if Daryl was gay, and even discussed the possibility with the producer.malg said:^^^Yep it's true, it was in the National Enquirer. From what I've read the actor said it wouldn't be believable........on The Walking Dead!
I agree... GOT, Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are all great.southstand117 said:Watched all 4 episodes of season 5 last night. Awsome as always. Can't wait to see who daryl has with him.. thrilling, gripping stuff. Best show I've watched after GOT, and I was a huge breaking bad fan

I didnt even know there was a spin off show. Other than the last 5 seconds i recognised nothing.
As he told GQ in their October issue, “I remember Frank Darabont [developer and executive producer of TWD's first season], after the first season we were at a party in L.A. He said, ‘I’ve got an idea for Daryl. He’s gay. Would you be interested in that?’ I was like, ‘Let me hear you out.’
“He said, ‘Well, he’s prison gay — like, you’ll catch him looking at a member of the same sex, but if you mention it to him, he’ll just stab you and be like what the f**k?—he will never admit it.’ I was like, ‘That’ll blow minds — let’s do that.’ And he said, ‘I knew I hired you for a reason.'”
Norman Reedus On Daryl Dixon: ‘I Don’t Think In Matters Of The Heart He’s Real Secure’
With that door open, Norman went on to say that “Daryl’s not the type of guy who’s gonna throw somebody up against a tree in the moonlight. I don’t see him as having that kind of confidence.
“You could drop him off in the middle of the woods with a stick and he’ll come back well fed and doing well, but I don’t think in matters of the heart he’s real secure.”
Of course, you can be gay and also a virgin averse to throwing people up against trees, but we see his point.
We love that Norman is so open to every interpretation of his wildly popular character, and that he seems to understand fan culture and how to interact with his devoted audience.
