He's looking like a sqaure peg in a round hole , he doesnt suit our style of play , not criticising his ability he is a very talented player but even against a shite Watford team he played the safe negative pass nearly every time , if he cant show his talent and tear teams like Watford apart , then when will he ?
He contributed next to nothing , very frustrating to see a player doing nothing like he did at his previous club and for England , he needs to buck his ideas up for next season which will hopefully see him improve and integrate into the team.

You could say the exact same thing about Sterling, Mahrez and Bernardo in their first season here. Bernardo’s best game in his first season was against Bristol City.

He is better than 95% of players in retaining the ball. He also draws 2-3 players towards him and is learning to pass the ball when that happens, so he is creating space for others, which is why Pep loves him.

He hasn’t tried very many risky passes like KDB does. I don’t know if that is by order from Pep or he’s playing within himself as he doesn’t want to give the ball away.

I remember when Ilkay was getting pelters from some 'supporters', look at him now. Ake got a lot of stick. Bernardo had a bit of criticism after 2 or 3 lacklustre performances. Zinchenko was on the verge of having to leave City. Foden, Stones,Yaya, Tevez, Balotelli and so many more have been scapegoated over the years for one reason or another.
Ok, chat about it on a forum or in the pub, but don't abuse them in the stadium.
The players are not just players, they are also human beings. No one can know if they are carrying a bit of an injury or something is affecting them in their personal lives.
It is impossible for every player to perform at 100% in every game they play, just so long as they are trying their best, that's all I want.

Good post. I’ve not heard any flak in the stadium for Grealish as of yet. Certainly not in the same way that Sterling gets it anyway!

I guess it’s hard to be as frustrated with Jack as he doesn’t do much wrong. He doesn’t miss loads of chances as he doesn’t shoot!

He’s got all the footballing ability in the world, I just hope he has enough behind the ears to have the capacity to take in what Pep is asking of him.

We are in the process of finding that out.

I too was disappointed for Jack today but let's give him another season. I'm confident he will improve dramatically as many others have and also if we do get Haaland the we are going to be playing a bit differently and that might help Jack

I recall Rodri and Bernado not being spectacular in their first seasons.
