There have been a few over the years.

Assou-Ekotto stated similar a few seasons back.

Footballers aren't a homogeneous group of clones. Some love the game. Some don't love it as much as those of us who watch it. Some probably find it quite boring, a way of earning a living at something they are good at.

I expect Wayne Bridge is one of them.

He was perfectly entitled to sit on his contract here.

Agreed.

I know an ex professional goalkeeper who hated the game and just played it because he was good at it and earned decent money
It wasn't Harry Dowd was it?

Worst city player? Fuck me some people have never watched a game clearly

Yes the worst City player i have seen in my opinion! That doesn't mean i haven't watched a game i'm 25 years old so i have seen just as much shit at City as you or any other fan has but for the fee paid and the wages earned and the amount of games played and some of the performances in those games yes for me hes the worst City player i have seen.

Try and name 1 player that anybody else has mentioned on here that played as bad as Bridge did for the kind of money he cost us and you will realize i have a point
Then surely you mean worst buy, not worst player?

Either way both aren't the worst.

A half decent player, played ok for us.

Hardly the worst player ever

Wayne Bridge was defensively really solid... i remember at one point he was close to replacing cole at chelsea, bit like the leighton baines scenario.

Certainly not the worst even if you did only start watching City in 2008

I don't know if your trying to say that i must have started watching City since 2008 or iv'e just read it wrong but either way in my opinion he is the worst and everybody has the right to an opinion and nobody will change mine.

Defensively really solid though? If you like. As i said everybody has there own opinion.

So in your opinion lee Bradbury and bob Taylor were better players than bridge?

Is a left back better than 2 strikers? How would i know that? Up front they were better yes

So you simply, in footballing terms, can't say that messi is better than Titus bramble?

Ok, like for like.. Was Sam Williamson a better player than bridge?

What i will say is Titus Bramble is probably a better central defender than Messi (as i haven't seen Messi play that position) and Messi is a better forward than Bramble thats just a fact. Now onto the other one about Sam Williamson who played one game for City and actually did very good. He was not signed for £12 million he was not on £90k a week he did not constantly get cut inside he did not back off from the cross and then twist away from it when Crouch put Spurs into Europe at our expense. He played 1 game as substitute for City and did well. So Sam Williamson was not the worst player i have seen play for City.
