Welcome Kyle Walker

Walker is fucking miles better than Trippier, and deep down every bitter Spurs fan and the rag/cockney media know it, whatever bollocks they make up in their tabloid shite.

It'll be evident this season now how in the media he goes from England's best RB to overrated/can't cross/past his best.

Tbh he can't cross. He'll still be good, but £50m for a 27 year old we might only get 3 good seasons out of because of their game being predicated on athleticism doesn't fill me with joy. Mendy is already much better and his delivery is immense. I guess we needed homegrown players though.

Just watched the Inside City vid. He comes across as an OK guy and as he was a player at another club in the past whatever went on there should now be history. And what's all this bollox about not being able to cross? The only City player with a decent ability to put in a good cross regularly is Lucy Bronze and I don't see Sane, Sterling etc getting shit for not being able to cross and it's more expected of a winger than a back!

The usual partisan nonsense is out in force today online, it's the same on the Mail, and that's football comments, it doesn't matter. But, when you read Spurs forums with the actual fans that know what they're talking about they think we got a bargain here and are sad to see him go.

It's a lot of money but we had to pay it. If you get to the airport and realise you've left your charger at home you buy one there and pay the extra 30-50%. You don't go away without one because you could have got it for cheaper on Amazon. We needed a rightback, we needed homegrown, we went and bought the best homegrown rightback from a direct rival. Good deal.

We know he isn't worth 50 million but that's what you pay for a English player these days. I think he will be a great player for us in the next few seasons and we needed a good right back who knows the premier league inside out welcome aboard Kyle.

Who's we? It's certainly not me.

agree for the most part but charger analogy doesnt make sense for one of the most established and well run club around the world, we wanted him, we got him, good deal, end of story.

Ideally we need to be producing our own players of the right quality. Our record of doing this since the takeover is very poor. Very disappointing given the investment in the academy.

He is a solid player and you have to pay what you have to pay if you want something badly enough.

Worth is dictated by the market, and as far as I'm concerned, if United are paying 90m for Lukaku, and 30m for some unknown centre half, then Walker is worth whatever we pay. We know we will always get shit for buying players though, even if we bought Neymar for 1p.
