Well done Aleks...

Solid, excellent cross for Dzeko, a couple of defensive lapses but his positives far outweigh negatives. Another very good game Aleks, let Clichy play Wednesday and Aleks back in on Saturday when we must put Cardiff firmly in their place.
 
As the guy said himself the other day he's playing regularly now, and it makes all the difference.
Under Bobby he was in and out, and you can't maintain a level like that.
Pellegrini's system is tailor made for Aleks, in a way it never will be for Clichy.

With the exception of Kun, that was our best starting eleven for me.
15 unbeaten now. And things really do look like they're gelling.
 
Even from left back, he is one of our most potent offensive weapons. You can tell when he's not playing these days and that is a testament to how much he has improved. His crossing ability is second to none and the amount of assists he gets from those first time crosses is fantastic. The last ditch tackle right at the end was a game saver as well, so he did his job at both ends of the pitch in my opinion. Great game for him.
 
Aleks has the best cross and the strongest foot in the team, good defending and tracking but awful dribbling imo which makes him lose the ball so frequently when pressured.
 
Not too many anti-Kolarov boo boys around nowadays. Cementing the LB position for the bigger games on merit at the moment. Another decent game today.
