my next visit will be champs cup next year
The old Wembley was even worse behind the scenes, but it had a genuine feeling of history and glory about it. The walk along Wembley Way towards the towers was special, with the stadium looming larger as you approached it.It was a good day out for me (thanx x ) but it isnt half a dump behind the scenes
Yes every game, semi-finals, Charity Shield, and FM Final, it's a big day, big game for all of us. I would prefer the semi-finals to be played at a neutral ground, but it's not going to happen any time soon. Everyone is different but I dreamed of going to Wembley as a kid and still do, it's a great day out regardless, and I go to support City as they need our backing, the semi final last year was a let down not only on the pitch but off it, so many lads I know who couldn't be bothered to turn up, that disappointed me more than the result. This thread is about our desire, LET'S start showing it again.
i went to the old wembley v spurs that time , cant remember much except the towers and how far away from the pitch we wereThe old Wembley was even worse behind the scenes, but it had a genuine feeling of history and glory about it. Now, it's just another road to another football ground surrounded by high rise buildings, in an otherwise near-derelict run down part of London.
Me neither. It’ll happen one day but a cup final v the rags will be an absolute nightmare.
The novelty wore off for me when we began to dominate the League Cup. Attending became an expensive chore.
I got over it but the Wigan FA Cup loss haunted me. To the day, I’ve never seen the highlights.
Great memories of villa Park 81.Does that include SEMI-FINALS?
You have a point about finals.
But semi-finals! The FA are taking the piss and have done ever since they moved the semi-finals to Wembley to rinse the fans even more. I won’t mention the Community Shield.
Wether you like it or not, call me what you want, I won’t give the FA my money for semi-finals at Wembley. They’re just ripping me and other City fans off. There’s nothing wrong with Old Trafford, a 60,000+ Anfield next season, or good old Villa Park for a semi-final.
I'm sure most of us agree that having FA cup semi finals there is a joke, but we're stuck with it, and it's no fault of the club.Does that include SEMI-FINALS?

It's a rundown, rather depressing part of London. Take the walk down from the Green Man to the stadium (Dagmar Ave, is it?). You'll pass plenty houses that have seen better days. Or High Road, a lot of old shops on there. Take away the hotels and the stadium, and there's not much going for Brent. The old Wembley was even worse behind the scenes, but it had a genuine feeling of history and glory about it.
