Rondon is a strong player and will be handful to our back three.
It will be a long and frustrating game .
Fucking Tony Pulis football.

That's definitely why Pep is using it. Because it's trendy.
I don't think that's why Pep is using it, but it was why Mancini and BRodge did, along with a few others. Mancini had a great set up that was working, then saw everyone in Italy playing 3 at the back so threw away our system for the trainwreck of three at the back. Whereas Rodgers seemed to just lose the plot and start randomly playing people in random positions in an attempt to stop people calling him a fraud.

Not a fan of it at all, no one in England has had any prolonged success with it yet. Hopefully Pep will change that as his is a very different imagining of it, but I'd rather he just went back to what had us winning

Don't get it, Maffeo put's in a great performance not in the squad. Garcia has been consistently better than Fernando (but who hasn't), on the bench.
Kept hearing Pep promotes youth, not seeing it.

Shut up you mug, honesty we are 40 mins from KO. We will win today
Size of WBA against garcia from corners? We are going to have a hell of a lot of the ball, so we can afford to stick one big lad in there to help with their only threat
We will play 4 at the back against Barca. Stick your dummy back in

Thanks for that.

Anyway, here was me thinking that with the quality we have available an extra 3 inches in height of Fernando over Garcia isn't really worth sacrificing a better quality football player for. It's hardly dropping Messi for Crouch here. There could be excuse after excuse every single game for not utilising the young players.

Think using Fernando could be a good ploy. When the play is more open and the Albion aren't all back, I expect Kolarov, Stones, and Otamendi (one at a time) to carry the ball deeper into the opposing territory. When that happens, Fernando can drop back to keep the shape.

Must win ball game no doubt about that, we have to get back on track. It seems that we are sticking with the 343/352 formation going forward. I have no problems with that formation. Surprised Kompany is not starting. Would have preferred Garcia to Fernando in that midfield as I am opposed to the theoretical approach to tactics-''Fernando looks like a ''holding midfielder'' so lets play him there so that in a theoretical sense, he can provide protection''. I does not work. It did not work against Totenham. Hopefully in this game we will have more of the ball and so it will not be a problem.

Still a very strong starting line up, not exciting but strong and should be more than effective, if the players do their jobs, to get the three points. It is not going to be easy but I believe this is the game where we get back to winning ways.

Too many pseudo managers about these days. Think they know everything about tactics, that they never have to put
into practice. How about we see how the team and personnel play, before fucking moaning.
It's the same every week and gets fucking depressing. We are supposed to be supporters.
This. I predicted it would continue eventually under Pep, when they were doing it to Pellars. It started slowly, and has garnered pace over the last 6 weeks. Pseudo managers who knew more than Pellars fancy knowing more than Pep too.

Wankers I say!

3 points is a must cant afford to drop more points and let this run continue, time to take a stand and get back to winning ways. and we will
