Ok fair enough, perhaps unacceptable is the wrong word to use. It would be very disappointing to lose to them in the cup and go out at this stage.

Champions league is unlikely, get past Monaco and you're going to have to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid etc to win the dam thing. It would also take a catastrophic collapse by Chelsea to throw the league away from the position they are in at the moment, having said that I fancy Spurs to beat them tonight, especially at WHL. Not everyone will agree with me but you have to be realistic.

i'd love to win the cup again, but we have to retain some humility

No it wouldn't, lose tonight and they are only 5 points clear of second, and 7 from us with 51 points to play for. A couple of injuries and defeats and they are back with the pack.

On current form you'd have to fancy them though but as per my previous post Spurs could do a turn tonight. Its entirely possible they could pick up a few injuries and suspensions and lose ground but at the same time so could we, we've had our fair share of these already and perhaps Chelsea are due a bit of bad luck. Those pesky scousers won't go away either!
 
Would love another day out at Wembley and I'm sure pep will be keen to try and get us there. No need for massive changes let's keep the results coming despite the Liverpool result we're in decent form.

Won't be available for the final if we get there but doesn't dilute the urge to win it.

We have away last year's fa cup and we know how that ended with the scum getting a free passage, we've thrown away the LC the same way with a weak team and again gifted the scum a probable final spot at least and for what?

There's only a few things to win every season and not competing is a disgrace (I was happy for the kids team to play at Chelsea at the time but ultimately it was the wrong decision).
 
Personally I think we should throw the kitchen sink at the FA cup. I think the league is going to be extremely difficult given Chelsea's form (they're on course to break the PL's record points tally) and the CL is probably beyond us this season based on recent performances. We haven't won this in 6 years and I think it's about time we really pushed for it.

But are we good enough to put a run together .on present form we are not .

I agree .i would have gone all out for the league cup as well .after all a trophy is a trophy
 
I think finishing in the top four is more valuable than winning FA Cup.

Thats why we should rest our key players for Everton.
 
Seen a few threads criticising the atmosphere and the fans etc.

What we need to do on Friday is get behind the team and show them and Pep we do support them.

Those going need to back the lads. I hear a good 4000 going so we can do it.

I personally cannot wait to get there, love the FA Cup, especially away games and a new ground to visit thrown in.

Get over your scum nonsense will you for gods sake. This is not a big game for us. It would be nice to win but hey if we don't who really cares. Give me the 3 points when we play the cocnek fuckers in the league in a few weeks any day. The cup would be nice but hey have you not heard it's on its way out!!!
 
Neverton is 9 days after west ham no need to rest players lets get some confidence in the team by starting our own unbeaten sequence!

I think Pep will decide from round to round.
This time he is able to play a strong team as the next game is a week away, well 9 days even.
Yes, we have had 2 games in 44 hours recently and we will see some rotation. But still a strong team.

This will be different if we have a top side in the - let's hope - next round and a PL/CL match 3 days later.
Then his priority will definitely be on CL or PL.

If we have some easier draws he certainly would take the chance to get as far as possible. IMO

In general it will become more and more important not to concede first and chase the result in every match.
We are already missing a CB and CM through injury, have way too much bans, Delph you never know, Navas no option anymore.
We have to improve in managing our resources much better or the lads we be flat like a tire in March.

I think a lot of people probably care to be honest if we lose, me for one and plenty others on here. Would love a good cup run this year and i think its important to us this year. Lose and it just keeps adding to the pressure on the players and club, win and we keep building on our recent results.
