Tintown, that's next to/part of the estate I grew up. Was born in Kirkholt. Wouldn't say Queensway was rough though....always though Wardle was one of the nicer areas?

Queensway had its days, especially behined the school on Hartley Lane. Wardle isnt nice mate, If you lived near Birchhill Hospital it was a shit hole, thats where i lived for about a year.

Worked in the Rochdale area for twenty years and it's a big shit hole, it's as rough as they come. I remember when Moss side was getting a lot of bad press for all its shootings, but in the same year Rochdale had the exact same murder rate.

It has more half way houses than any other north-west town/city, I've worked in Heywood, Langley, Whitefield, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale. Rochdale's the poorest by far with Oldham a close second, which is a big reason why crime is ripe.

Saying that I have met some great people from all those places, but in Rochdale's case I think that the councillors must get extra funding for housing or re homing certain misfits.....Fecking sad really because in parts it is idyllic and there is some smashing people living there.....Like Robbo ;)

No rose tints or fuck all, Moston/Harpurhey is the scummiest place in Manchester. I worked there for years its full of subhuman oxygen theifs. I fucking detest the place. It makes me shudder just thinking about going back to that cess pit full of them scabby tramps.
