When did you start following City?

Born in Crumpsall 1970.

First match 1978 aged 8 at Maine Rd vs Liverpool. We lost!
Kippax all the way through my teens as I was not allowed in there until i was older. 10-1 v Huddersfield I was in the Maine stand as my old man had some some tickets. Followed them everywhere in the 80's and 90's..Hitchhiking at service stations from getting lifts away at Villa in a stolen car( I didn’t know it was nicked..Our next door neighbour John turned up after the match in it..i was 10)
League 2 against Blackpool opening match of the season was brilliant.Never seen such determination from our fans that year. Cried when we won the league with Mancini. There is no drug better than City and there is certainly no rehabilitation from it.
I moved to Italy 3 years ago so not been for a while...I'll be back.

Bit weird really, I have been going since around 1968 (aged7) & still go now but looking back my grandad started going in 1907 until the 1970s Dad started going in the early 1940s until around the 1990s & recently my 91 year old mum told me her grandad was a big blue & used to go as a lad on his pushbike so I think one way or another we have as a family been going more or less since the club were formed?

1953-54 season. In the kippax near to scoreboard end,Dad about 20 yards back, his instructions were don,t move from the wall, and he would come for me.The size of the stadium, noise ,brilliant.

Since a little before Tuearts overhead kick. First visit to Maine Road the following year. All the kids on our street followed English teams. It was the only football shown on TV here in Norway back then.

When I was a kid most Scots kids had an English team they liked.
I was Liverpool but got bored being called a glory hunter so switched to City.
That would have been about 1977-78.
I didn't realise at the time just how far from glory hunting that would go for a while.

Mid 80's for me, as soon as I could decide really. Dad came down from Glasgow (Rangers man) in the 70's to live in Leeds, tried them but did not like the vibe. Lad in the office was a City fan and connected (Colin Bell attended his wedding), took him to a game and he was hooked so that was me as well.

I've been constantly glory-hunting since '55. Found a bit along the way! I remember that my Mum made me a blue 'n white rosette to watch the 55 Final in front of a seven-inch telly. First game at Maine Rd was the same year but the next season. Battered The Seasiders 2-0.

Started going 75/76 and got a ST year after.
I thought i was the Jinx until Stoke FA Cup Final
